Currently, I ride a Karizma ZMA (2012 model) and I am thinking over to upgrade my headlamp. I cuurently am using a Halonix 100/90W but it isn't sufficient. So elders please guide me for a solution, if no solution to this problem then please tell me to what wattage can I upgrade my ZMA's bulb with proper guidelines.
      Thankyou in advance

Details of h/l upgrades of zma are found in the zma thread itself.
You haven't mentioned details about your current setup. With a relay I find 60/55 w sufficient for in-city riding.

A normal car relay can be used. Try to get bosch relay with wiring harness and you would just have to snip off the extra holder ( or you can keep it coiled as a backup).

                thanks.
my understanding is, there would be black box (relay) having pair of wires in 3 direction, one pair would be input to relay from headlight switch, 2 pairs to 2 holders. and this entire assembly will come as unit. is it correct?

i have updated stock 60/55 to Philips vision extreme 60/55. result is around 20% improvement.
can it still be improved by addition of relay?

Black box... switch connection... Battery connection... output wire.

Output I hav seen is parallel ... with wire for 2nd holder coming from the output wire itself.

If battery is not in top condition ( mine is 9aH ) meter will reset.. and other niggles.

Reduce load by downgrading tail bulb n indicator bulbs.

To avail max benefit of connecting higher watt bulbs you have to connect it through a relay. Also it is safer.

If your stock bulb is 55/60w then no need for additional relay... unless you are going for even higher watt bulb.

                    thanks for details.
you have answered my question pretty well, please understand the situation again and guide me. i am zero in electrical and electronics. i am using Philips vision extreme 60/55w, stock bulb too was of 60/55. in such scenario, will we get better result with current bulb if relay is used?

I am not familiar with your bike's electricals but I think it is unlikely.

But products are made to be bettered by the end user and you can always try.

                        Expect 10% improvement.

Having worked with Karizma, I don't think you can do much to a ZMA to improve lighting.

Upgrading the bulb to 55/60 watts with a relay harness starts melting the reflector. Without relay harness nothing melts as bulb doesn't glow at 100% efficiency.

Try fixing a H4 LED bulb which will be a direct fit. If you have budget, you can always go for a high quality HID projector setup.

is there any h4 led bulb which can throw light colour same or matching with stock halogen?
i have visited many shops all of them provide white or yellowish white LED bulb.

                              Hi,

I own a Pulsar 200AS and it is brand new, I want to change the conventional Light Bulbs with brighter more efficient ones. Kindly suggest me something with quality and good after sales service. I am from Kolkata.

                              Cheers!

Most of my daily commute involves highway rides, so I have been meaning to install LED spot lamps on my RE Classic 500 DS.

                                My requirement, I believe, would be to have;

                                1. Decent illumination on highways, so Spot beams and not flood/fog beams.
                                2. Not add too much load on existing wiring.
                                3. Should not blind oncoming traffic in 2lane highways that are poorly lit.
                                4. Minimum modification, splicing, etc of existing wiring.

I saw the installation of @J.Ravi sir, and read through a few pages of this thread, but I'm still confused on how to go about this matter.

                                I'm thinking to proceed in the following manner. Let me know if there are better alternatives;
                                1. Change existing small bulbs of indicator, idiot lights, meter console etc with following LED's from ebay.

                                2. Should I get this flasher relay?
12V 3 PIN Motorcycle Universal LED Turn Signal Indicator Flasher Relay | eBay
                                3. Get the following 10w LED spots (though Im confused, some listings say 30 deg beam, some say optional 40/ 8 deg.)
2" Inch Round 10 Watt Cree LED Work Light OFF Road Jeep Motorcycle | eBay
                                4. Get the following switch (is it really waterproof?)
FOG Light Switch Motorcycle Switch FOR ALL Bikes Fits 7 8" 1" Handlebars | eBay
                                5. Is there anything else I'm missing?
                                6. For wiring, how to proceed? direct wiring from battery, or, open the headlight dome and splice a wire from inside? which would be a safer bet?

                                Please help me out guys..

PS. If I can spend bit more, but get a reliable and safe installation, please suggest those options too
