I think you are referring to the cold start load here? I completely understand that HIDs consume 30 - 60% more power during initial warmup, but won't the engine be running, and the battery across the circuit should act like a big fat capacitor IMHO.Originally posted by sajjt View Post

i just dont want the battery to go kaput or some other kind of electrical damage...so what would be the best bet? i dont mind spending extra on this thing and getting it dome perfectly. Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

even the diagrams you posted show my idea in a 'oh so simple' circuitry, I just wanted to make it simple for you, rest is your call if you want it simple or a highly expensive & complicated web of a circuit.Originally posted by BikerKid View Posti just dont want the battery to go kaput or some other kind of electrical damage...so what would be the best bet? i dont mind spending extra on this thing and getting it dome perfectly.

Best way is connect a positive wire from any of left indicators to a switch & another positive wire from any of right indicators to other terminal of switch .Originally posted by BikerKid View Posti just dont want the battery to go kaput or some other kind of electrical damage...so what would be the best bet? i dont mind spending extra on this thing and getting it dome perfectly.
So when that switch is ON , put your indicator button on any side ( i.e. either left or right ) all 4 indicators will blink , & turn that switch off for normal indicators purpose .

No modifications needed as the bike is already full dc and the stock load is 35watts and hid load is also 35watts so there will be no battery draining issues.Originally posted by micky_kar View PostHi friends...i am a silent member of xbhp i had just gone all the pages of this thread but hid regarding pulsar 180 ug4.5 has been discussed very less so i just want to ask that i had a pulsar 180 ug 4.5 which is fully dc bike i just want to know can i install hid in my bike, will it put load on my bike electrical s?,and will it drain my battery? Go ahead and plonk a good 35 watt hid kit with 4300k temperature and if possible go for a projector to get better beam spread and less glare.

connections goes as battery -> fuse -> flasher -> wire to indicator switch on left hand switch gear

but once I came to know the issues with it, I started observing things from others point of view. Whenever some one with HID on reflectors from behind its easily gets noticed as the eyes will get sore from the mirror reflection, but this can be tackled by twisting the mirror but what will do when its from opposite side? Soon I converted my setup to projectors and on the legal side with a proper beam spread, the RTO will not agree this though. Now am sick of these HIDs on reflectors mostly are 6oook or higher and worst thing is many of them are on high beams riders
