If you use a relay, battery wont be effected ??Originally posted by sunny_ View PostDidn't you add a relay to the 55w bulb?
If yes, then it won't affect the battery, and you don't have to run in high rpms always. You can even use both bulbs as 55 w with relays to them. There won't be any battery issue, relay will judge and then won't allow the bulb to glow unless the required potential difference is achieved.
Relays are a type of switches, that's it nothing else.
A relay will make sure that you don't damage your stock switch assembly due to a higher wattage bulb.
It will not stop battery from draining,it does not have any Rectifier Regulator capabilities, nor any power saving feature as many people say.
It is just a electrically operated switch.

Yes, it will work fine in the absence of relay also, but if you add one you'll find more brightness, do give it a try.Originally posted by Prakritij View Postno relay added, just pluged and played a 55W bulb bought from Maruti spare parts shop(ask for Swift/Estilo head lamp), Working just Fine

Please read my message again. I meant that a 55w bulb with a relay doesn't affect that much that one has to ride in high rpms all the time and in city again switch back to 35w... My bike can sustain its load in every kind of rides, I was just telling this, so I suggested that even if you use both bulbs as 55 w there won't be any such serious implications that you have to ride above 4k rpms or in high rpms always.

I'm still not clear... Does the same bulb 55w works on 35w at low beam???Originally posted by sunny_ View PostI meant that a 55w bulb with a relay doesn't affect that much that one has to ride in high rpms all the time and in city again switch back to 35w... I said if you're okay with the illumination of your stock bulb used for low beam then okay keep it and replace only for the high beam, otherwise you can have both bulbs in 55/60 w category. And I suggested Philips Xtreme 55/60 w the best among those available in the market today.

35watt for low beam and 55/60 for high beam ?Originally posted by sunny_ View PostI said if you're okay with the illumination of your stock bulb used for low beam then okay keep it and replace only for the high beam, otherwise you can have both bulbs in 55/60 w category. How is that possible ?
Pulsar has only one bulb for both high and low beam (two filaments) and not two dedicated bulbs like R15.

If you have a Pulsar, you can replace your stock bulb with the one I mentioned. Why do you always try to find something wrong in my post!

Stock Pulsar and Stock R15 both ship with H4 type Halogen socket. Bulbs are interchangeable. If you notice, even R15 has two filaments in both bulbs. When you switch to high beam, a different filament glows in Low beam as well.Originally posted by shoeb2015 View Post35watt for low beam and 55/60 for high beam ?

Right! ASFAIK, there are various kinds of H4 bulbs. Everything won't fit. H4 HS1 fit.. I tried some Halonix A3U type, didn't work.Originally posted by sunny_ View PostI said if you're okay with the illumination of your stock bulb used for low beam then okay keep it and replace only for the high beam, otherwise you can have both bulbs in 55/60 w category. Alright dude. I'll take care of it (like belowOriginally posted by shoeb2015 View PostSorry my friend for finding out your mistakes in your post.

Yes, my friend, and like I said earlier, one is not supposed to keep the engine in higher rpms only in order to take benefit of a 55/60 w bulb, and adding a relay definitely increases the brightness as compared to the case when one is not using it.Originally posted by awesomeo View PostLike someone said earlier, relay is nothing but an electrically operated switch. Phew! I guess, I'm clear now!
