Hi Guys,Originally posted by Devil 3112 View PostHi Everyone,
This is my first ever post on xbhp. Read all the pages of "Let there be light". Reading all the pages were very much interesting. Most of you guys are doing great job to help newcomers like me. I m having a query about my bike as follow:
I m having Karizma R. I've changed my bike's light to osram's silver star. And I've changed it without any kind of relay installed since from 6 to 8 months (maybe, because i m not sure about the time).
I want to know that is is worthy to switch to osram night breaker or HID is best option. And if I've to install HID, do i have to make any kind of changes in my bike's electrical area.
Waiting for you people's quick reply and thank you very much in advance.
Edit: Could anybody tell me the price for HID also. What will the cost for reasonably good HID.
Cheers
anyone with the solution plzzzz!!
where r all the masters????sigpic

if the silver start you currently have is 55 watt then no point in going for Osram night breaker , for 800 rs the increase in light on road will be at best minor . however a 35 watt HID will have atleast 3 times more light than the standard Halogen bulbs . no changes required in karizma for hid as its a full dc bike afaik . a Hid with the moving back n forth type bulb will cost approx 1600 to around 2400 for the ones with super slim type ballast .Originally posted by Devil 3112 View PostHi Guys,

. Hot spots is clearly visible which shows the lack of quality, and hm... urs also LHD lens kit
these morons dont've any idea about this where to sell and where to import
Opposite vehicles will've a tough time.
But for us its more than enough right Ranjit? But the 6K HID really killing the visibility, if possible ask him for a replacement to a lower CT. An extra few hundreds may help.Do it Yourself, what so ever, if Possible

These are different series of projectors uses in different manufacturers which are known for its quality, performance and obviously for cost too. There are many types FX-R, TSX, TL etc. I'll share what I've learned:Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostCan you elaborate on "Fx-r"? Is it a brand name?
@sajjt - My aim was to look in the junkyard!
Anyways, any idea on what setup to go for in case of a faired bike like the R15? I will be using HIDs.
TSX has more intensity in it's output but lacks width/foreground and bi-xenon feature. Most people would use the TSX lens and slap it onto the fx35 projectors so they get something comparable to a TL (the brightest projector)
FX 35 projectors are great if it has the clear lens. As long as there's no pattern on the lens, then it's considered clear lens and is much brighter than the dimpled ones.

LHD....but since the cut off is leveled properly i.e. it doesn't go above the license plate of the car ahead, its wont trouble the on comers right?esp since you can actually stare into the projector when switched on unlike p220'sOriginally posted by sajjt View PostNice effort man

and about the hot spots,i believe its due to the reflector rather that the lens.
Yep,even im not happy with 6K CT
,but do you think it will make a massive difference if i get the 4.3k?
and btw you are sure its 6k CT right?

Doc, Its not P220 lens, its a full HL assy consists of 35W HID, ballast, AE, with a round HL assy. Ranjit didnt want to spoil it appeal by using a round HL assy to his FZ.Originally posted by drvmtm View Postthe details of the projector please in the pic?also details of p 220 proj please, price availability....
This is what I bought from here in Cochin.

Price was around 3.5K am I right Ranjit? or its 4.5K?
