Check your break even rpm! At this rpm, the battery voltage will be constant, neither decrease nor increase. Above this rpm, battery will start charging. Since you have 2 batts in parallel, try measuring the voltage across anyone of the battery. Since you have 2 batt, voltage rise/drop will be very slow, so keep the bike at same rpm for a min atleast and get the reading.

I thought at first it was your P150. But then 200W on a P150?Originally posted by undefineme3 View Post

rom the headli
i ve removed the halogen in the h4 base and also the shield.
i ve restored the stock light into the headlight for low beam alone. because the connection was available readily.
i have a few dx
i read in the hid box that ballast is aropund 12000V !!
1.i cut the wire coming from the ballast and extended it with a wire from electrical shop.will this wire be able to bear the load.
2.Also will the HID cause electic hazard owing to the high voltage.
3.The spot lamp seems to get heated very badly after minutes of usage.
will it explode? i may sound silly
but i am afraid as i have no idea about these things.
4.Also the spot lamp is not that waterproof.will it cause problems?the wire behind the base of the hid seems to extend out of the spot lamp.
Guys clarify
[/QUOTE]
Well if you extend, the kit will work but the ballast can go kaput,as the initial resistance is too high for ignite the bulb and when you extend you increase it more.
Proper air air circulation is needed, but there will be some gap which will suffice. hid bulbs are more or less weather proof. Some even can operate inside water! you please try to put the ballast inside the fairing,i fitted two big ballast inside my p 180 and try not to cut the wire.sigpic

i have my ballast inside the headlight only.
from there the wire length is not sufficient to reach the crash guard
i ll see if i can work that out
Man i must say thanks to you..
Because i ve copied ur technique of fitting hid to crash guard of my bike(mine is ug4 180 cc)
i ve stopped the work owing to rain
i ll update soon!Last edited by pulsarized; 09-12-2010, 11:14 PM.Let the Man And The Machine Unite!

Silly question...
Hi. I'm new to the whole customizing lights thing, so pls don't mind my ignorance. I was wondering whether or not it's the xenon bulb which gives the white tinge to the headlight, if not then what is?... Also is it possible to fit it on a hunk cause the headlight kinda sucks(it's the warranty period still, so without voiding the warranty)
p.s-can someone give me a basic guide bout headlights? The purpose of biking -
100cc- to get from point A to point B
125cc- to get there fast
150cc- to have some fun while getting there
200+cc- to start from point A and forget when point B passed by
It's not the ride but the rider that matters!

I installed projector-hid setup on my R15 but have been a lot of battery problems. If i use the light for 30-40mins the battery starts to die on me and the lights start to flicker forcing me to switch them off. Then again after a few minutes again i turn them ON, its works for a few mins then again the same.
Is there any higher AMP battery that is available which can be installed in the bike to help solve these issues?

but if you are running 2 hids below 5k rpm,it will not work as the charging is arround 30~40 watts below 5 k rpm.check this .if your bike can run one hid below 5k rpm and 2 hid over 5k rpm then its ok.
