    • HID for Pulsar 200 in Mumbai.

      Hi,

I have read up a few threads for the basic FAQ's regarding the HID, still i am not aware of quite a few important things.

I have decided to have a projector for the low beam and a normal reflector for the high beam. Can i get this setup on a Pulsar 200 and if yes, then, can someone tell me what parts do i need and where can i get them in Mumbai? i am asking this cause i did go to Grant road and Lucky auto, Sion Loiwada to buy the HID kit and asked for a Philips one and both of them replied that Philips doesnt manufacture HID kits, they manufacture only the bulbs. He had a Chinese make HID kit retailing for 1700/-Rs.

Does anyone know a mechanic in the south bombay who can help me with converting my bike to DC? Also, if possible for anyone to give the circuit diagram of the existing AC setup on the bike and that of the DC setup too.

      Thanks,
      Ali.

          inspired by me i guess..
anyways firstly the projector and a dedicated reflector can be bought from JUNK, go to kurla CST road, there are many shops there selling every part from every car or bike available in India, however now most of them are closed compared to 4-5 months back.

go for skoda's or sonata's projector, they are very good, and go for p220's high beam reflector, its pretty decent.

besides, there's no point of buying the hid sold by those guys even if they sell it to you for 170 bucks instead of 1700, the reason ?
because they must be H4 type sockets, which can't be used in projectors as well as p220's reflector.

get the projector and reflector first, remember to bargain from 10% of the amount asked and then confirm the hid as they need to match the base of the stuff you buy from there.

regarding DC conversion, get coil rewinded first as a single phase coil, install ape rr to the output, a lot has already explained about the same.
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.
