you can get hids in karol bagh , new delhi . chinese hids are not bad btw , you will get chinese hids only upto Rs 3-4k . branded ones like philips ,hella , other oem type are very very expensive .

first make your rtr full DC type else battery will get drained very soon with hid . you will have to change the rr unit to a full dc type and boost your charging rate .

                        • I have a query - how powerful is the P220's 3 phase alternator?

Also, is the ZMA/ZMR's alternator 3 phase too? And output power?

I need these data to pick the best 3 phase RR unit out there!
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

                            What's cooking abhi ???
                            what are you upto ??
as far as I know Zma's stator is 3 phase and it has a 3 phase rr too ...
and I've also heard that it can give upto 235w, though i have no idea about p220..

1 more thing which i wanted to know, isn't it true that a single phase coil will provide much amount of ampere as well as voltage as compared to a 3 phase one ??
three phase seems to be much more distributed, i somehow feel that it won't give much amps as well as voltage ( i can be wrong, its just what i feel) but arguably all the coils which are known to be the best in the business and known to give 235w are 3 phase itself.....

if you fit it directly, you'll face battery discharging issues, you WILL have to rewind your coil, change your RR unit to APE RR, and then do the needful of HID installation.
you can get HIDs cheaper than 3500/- here, but they all will be 6000k and above which IMO isn't that good....
besides, i myself am wanting to buy an RTR's stator and plonk it into my bike to install a TCI unit to get off the revv limiter as i am running stock rtr180's bore and piston set, and running a fiero with a higher compression than a stock rtr 180

so once i buy the coil, I'll rewind it myself to connect my current ape rr and stuff...

try south bombay to find hid's you'll get a good deal but you won't get 4300k, or own very own NAVNISH is there for everyone's need...
and YES he has 4300k and i bought both of my bulbs from him itself...

get your coil rewinded, install ape rr, try to source hid or order it from navnish, and you are all set....

PS: Hid in stock reflector isn't a very good thing to do...

if you wish to keep the same 35w, then nothing will satisfy you in brightness apart from HID, as you say you don't wish to mod anything, then HID isn't possible, even to plonk a 55w you need to rewind the AC phase of your coil.
the best solution is to change your bulb to phillips one (35w H4 type, germany) if the current one is Halonix, it does make a slight difference...

the projectors are going to be mounted inside the stock R15 projectors (most likely)
i'm planning on mountig the headlight onto the bike and make adjustments till
i'm satisfied with the angle/spread of light.
