Pulsar 200 + Avy Coil?

Guys, there is a lot of discussion going on here about the Osram NightBreaker and the Avenger's stator coil mod. I have a question on this:

If the Avy coil has a higher output than the stock coil, then would the battery or RR (or anything else connected in line) be under a higher load?
The new coil is 55W. Old is 35W. So what about the long term effects on the battery and other electricals? If something goes wrong then..u all know.. no kick-start on the bike.

yes before the mods and yes the samurai headlight clamps are a direct fit.Make sure u also buy the rubber bush set also.

If A stator power is claimed 100 Watt; in real time power production is arround 80 Watt. That is 80% efficiency. Which is a industry wide acceptable standard.

When you are not using the A/C powred Head Light the possilility is that the power developed by the Head Light phase in the stator is getting wasted. What might be gogin into the battery is 45Watts ( 90W/2).

Which further come down if we consider 80% efficiency .

Does that mean even at optimum required rpm's the stator will produce only 80% of capacity?...Like uni stator is rated as 125watt @5000 rpm ...so provided even at 5000 odd rpm's stator will be producing around 100 watt..

Yeah that's correct. But, the stock RR unit has some safety margins. So, while it is under greater load after the mod, it does not usually burn up. If it does, replace it with the Avenger RR Unit. Problem solved. Else for peace of mind, use Avenger Stator Coil + RR Unit right from the start.

A stator when new and free from any manufacturing defect will produce the rated power at the rated rpm. But, some losses takes place in the RR unit. Say, in case of the Uni, it should produce around 110W at the output after regulation and rectification.

well just a small suggestion,i had seen a unicorn with a fz headlight and seriously it looked very bad.I'd suggest u go ahead with ambitions headlight(round),amazing spread.Using it now, sans the h.i.d though.

I asked a pbk guy and he replied positively. Btw,which model r u going for,can u tell me the required specs.,i m going for the philips one and have a budget of 6-7k?
Is any mod is needed in the fitting inspite of the fact that p220 is full DC?

I had been using a Chinese one, and never had a problem. My budget is around 9k. I'm also planning to go Philips Car HID, but I haven't checked out the prices yet.

There are no modification required. It's a straight fit.

I SAID...ROFL and the bike that i saw was a red unicorn.The pics that u have posted,seems to be a decent job.I feel if the headlight could be lowered a little bit,it would look much better.

had H.I.D for a brief period check out the spread

The light is not coming from the head light of the bike. It looks like the light is coming from a car which is in the side. Also check the front the mud guard.
