    mods are you listening this??

i dunno about there, but here such a setup will be a cop magnet from day 1 ....

at least you got rid of that crash guard lamp..
i dunno why but i simply hate putting up things on the crash guard....

some beam pics are very much wanted...
    p220 goes to shame...

how many days spent, and yes which bulb you have in that bixenon projector??
where did you source the projector from??
hhe.awards should be given to sajjit and abhijit, they are the real hero, not me.

i fail to understand this part,COP MAGNET!!why?a 4 wheeler is having at least 2 55/60 headlamp bulbs ,all are glowing even in city, optionally added with at least two other foglamps or spot lamps,no offense in that case, but when a biker tryes to see,he must be jailed/coped/harassed.

no this will not work this way.in highway when i pull of my canons the trukies also pop there neck from the window to see whats coming and most funny part is when they see a two wheeler they really cant imagine.
we are not doing a too much extream mod, this is a mod which is very very stranded.i think our lights should be equal at least with level of cars, and thats wht i tried to do.pulsar ug3 s reflector s low beam is pretty good with nice cutoffs and all but in high beam it illuminates everything also nothing.the spread is too much so the intensity drops .when i switch on the aux in highway it goes like a arrow to straight 1 kms,not that much spread added with the stock beam,it creats nice bow and arrow kindof lighting effect, where the ug 3 reflector is bow type and aux is arrow type.also,i have tested,it does not creat irritation as 4300 k when fully hot is like a hi power halogen bulbs, even thullas and mamus having phds are not able to tell the diff.its just like a 90/100 or 130/100 halogen.its far far better then anything like 6000kelvin or onwards which creats so much problem.

i also dont like anything on the crash guard but its not liking, its bare essential for survival in our roads, also it keeps low profile then projectors and its quite MANPROOF in othertimes,.they simply think i am a big fool who is using big kinda light, but when this fool comes out in night he F!@# every ones M!@#$%^ F!@#$% in the same way and most of all survives.

its a light with ug3 stock reflector and dcm toyota sealbeams both mounted with 4300 k hid from navnish.beam throw is already posted with 4300k and 6000k,i will repost the new 4300k lights soon.

the bulb in the projector is h3.projector sourced from delhi by bibek.

    some of the old pic

Well, finally i got some free time tonight and i was ready to click some pictures.took the tripod and went to a darker road best to understand the throw. so here it goes...
all the pics taken in manual mode same setting,no enhancement.
here is the dark road for you..

bikes headlamp-55 watt phillips xtream power-low beam.

bikes headlamp-phillips extream power 60watt-high beam.

only hid-dcm toyota sealbeam on rx housing mounted on left crash guard.hid info-make ikodo,h4-2 later i removed the halogen and other unnecessary parts, chinease make,no warrenty,35 watt,6000k,wires extended to keep the ballast under the seat, supplied with a heavy duty relay.

    hid+high beam

    hid+low beam.

here are pic of 2 hids...

    HERE ARE THE PICTURES...........................

FRONT VIEW-BIXENON 4300K IN MAIN DOME,6000K IN AUX DOME.

LIGHT CANON ...... JUST A BIT OF EFFECT.....

    4300K LOW BEAM.

    4300 K HIGH BEAM.

    AUX 6000K HID.

    6000K+4300K LOW

    6000K+4300K HIGH.

here are pic of the aux ,how i made it..

i was kindabusy last few days but today i got all the time i need.
firsyt i went to exide shop ,checked the battery,it was one cell down, going for a new battery tomorrow.exide rs 1600 ,30 months warrenty.

now i was thinking last few days to modify mt hid,i already removed it from bike then my evil brain came into action,a little DO IT YOURSELF for me today.let me start.

'my hid originally lookked like this.....

now i removed the halogen bulb and the shield from the hid..only the hid is there.
    \\

i went to market and searched for a rx 100 headlight, got it minda oem 240 inr only.
now i removed the seal beam inside it and started searching for dcm toyota seal beams which were h4 type.finally brought it for 100inr autopal make.
these are straight fit to rx 100s dome, voila a h4 mast relativley small light ready!!!
installed my hid into it.made it fit into left crash guard of my bike. the circit needed to be extended by wire as the hid controller is now sitting below my rear seat as with its cut out.

light is awasome,i fell in love with hids just because of the concentrated nature of the light.the best light i hv seen till date.

ruunung the setup with my 55/60 halogen, the hid is set low and also lower in crashguard, not too much glare.....
if this runs i am too happy. will post pics soon. here is the setup.
now some of you will say it will produce glare but in usa there is some special hid convertion sealbeams are avl like this one.........
    http://suvlights.com/popup_image.php?pID=301ℑ=0
my uncle brought a pair for his hummer and i saw these first hand.belive me its same as our good old non clear lence sealbeams like one abhijit is using, like i am using,.even i saw the glare from these are same as our ones so chill.

i will post more pics very soon.

      • & 1 more query.. wat will be the harm if i put a 90/100 watt directly on my zma..??

        • woooh doc, simply awesome...

desperately waiting for your new setup pics..
besides i too have an h3 bulb, should i opt for a bixenon projector like yours??
          how much will it cost??
anyways that halo/hid combo pulls a lot of battery...
agreed that coil rewinding will make things easier..

besides, my present projector spreads a lot of light behind the lens, even more than what hits the road, the holes in it are a real pain so i anyways am thinking to change the projector...

if bixenon h3 one like yours is affordable, so I'll go for it...
otherwise any other h3 projector from junk...
          gimme ideas...

          1 more thing,
I'm going to do coil rewinding tomorrow morning, what do you say 19 gauge or 20 gauge ???
12 feet per pole, I'll make him do it no matter what...

          i need 1 thing only....

NO BATTERY ISSUES at low beam in traffic/
NO BATTERY ISSUES at both beams on highways above 80kmph....

i thought of posting it on my thread, but i did it here as a reply to your post...
will upload coil pics on my thread itself, also the beam in action after coil work....
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

            • The leds look great. Post a pic when they are in action. I have a question for you guys. What is the difference between spst and spdt relays. I read the wiki page but could not gather much. Could you please explain in a layman's language. And also can a relay be used in ac setup. I mean I am using a 55 watt bulb instead of 35 watt stock. I know the bulb is not glowing at its full capacity. My question is, can this bulb can harm the headlight switch. I am trying to find someone who can rewind the coil. But still having no luck. All guys whom I have asked has never done rewinding job on a bike coil. Raj

Well SPST is nothing but single pole single throw & SPDT stands for single pole double throw. In simple terms there are two sides in a relay one is primary side(which shall provide the switching on the secondary side when small amount of dc current flows through the primary coil) and the other is secondary side (which is used for our applications i.e. to supply power to the bulb in your case ). ON secondary side anything can be used AC or DC since secondary just provides short circut or open circuit depending on the voltage applied to the primary coil.

Now in SPST when when positive voltage is applied in primary side (primary coil) this will cause the secondary side to trip (you hear a small yet sharp audible sound "CLICK") which means the secondary has been thrown for short ckt in this case only one throw. so in SPST there are two terminals in primary side which generates the throw in secondary side. And in secondary side you shall have three terminals viz. (1)common terminal ,(2nd) normally open terminal(i.e open when no voltage is applied in primary) &(3rd) normally closed terminal (i.e. shorted to comm terminal when no voltage is applied).

Working (SPST): NOW when the voltage is applied in primary winding (depends on the primary rating usually written on relay) common terminal at the secondary in now shorted to the NORMALLY OPEN TERMINAL which was actually open ckt in the absence of voltage in primary.

SPDT: IN this relay as well primary has two terminals where the voltage is applied so that the relay trips the secondary. However in this case unlike SPST the relay has 6 terminals viz. 2 common terminals (which are not shorted to each other), 2 Normally On terminals & 2Normally OFF(or OPEN) terminals .

WORKING SPDT: when voltage (+ve) depending on the primary rating like say 12v dc is applied in the primary winding. This will cause the secondary side to trip and the two secondary common terminals will trip from normally on terminals to the normally off terminals , its something like two SPST relays are working parallel in the secondary hence there are 6 terminals in the secondary of SPDT.

Relays could be understood in much simpler & detailed manner with diagrams, i wish i could but I cant at the moment.

[QUOTE=basumataryraj And also can a relay be used in ac setup. I mean I am using a 55 watt bulb instead of 35 watt stock. I know the bulb is not glowing at its full capacity. My question is, can this bulb can harm the headlight switch. I am trying to find someone who can rewind the coil. But still having no luck. Well in the secondary most relays (of our application eg. 6V 12V 24 V Primary) can handle AC 230V 50Hz with ease in the secondary without a hitch. more sophisticated relays are there for higher voltages (known as Industrial application Relays)

I hope I have cleared at least some of your queries.

                • That was a very detailed explanation Pratik.

Well I would like to simplify bit more.

SPST (Single Pole Single Throw)is just a one way switching contact

SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw)is a two way switching one.

DPST (Double Pole Single Throw) is same as SPST but with this, 2 circuits can be controlled.

DPDT (Double Pole Double THrow) as same as the SPDT but with 2 cicuit contacts.

Hope this will do the job.

Relays for AC lights, its not an issue as the stock switch can handle a 55/60W halogen in AC. If u need the full output of your coil then re route (with thicker guage wires) the lighting wire right from the RR out by using a relay powered from stock switches.

The relay coils wont work on AC so it should be powered from a DC source.

Thanks bro, you made it really simple by putting diagrams as I said its easier to understand relays via sketches & diagrams rather than words.

Before doing any of that stuff, I have two sincere suggestions to you.

FIrst, make sure your reflector is adjusted / aligned proberly. It should be set in a good position (generally) from teh factory unless someone has fiddled with it.

Second, the halonix bulb that comes stock is crap. Get a Philips Made in Germany 35/35 H4 bulb, replace it and see the difference. There is a very very good chance that this is all you want. You can get them in a Honda or Yamaha spares shop. Ask for a Unicorn or a FZ 16 head lamp bulb. Honda sells only Phillips. Yamaha, you better check before you buy as the counter fellow might just give you any bulb as Yamaha does not use the Philips bulbs in lower cc bikes. it costs about Rs 190.
