a pulsy 220 will support 90/100 bulb if the rpm is more then 3.5 k rpm,on high ways its not at a prob.

however a prob is the reflector will and READ WILL melt after first 30 min of exposure, because its designed to take heat of 35 watt only.a 55/60 is ok with it but the illumination specially the low beam is too much spreaded to the horizon hence the prob, the hid will improve the low beam to a very good extent but the high beam will suffer but it will def better then a 55/60 bulb.
i am currently using a bixenn hid 4300k on ug3 reflector and a single 4300k hid on dcm toyota sealbeam mounted on the left crash guard, thelight is quite impressive.
      my bike is a p 180 ug2 though.

me and fellow xbhpian mr.bibek joti is currently working ona project to change the shitty reflector ,,,,,,,,also tryin to fabricate a bixenon projector....

          • looks great doc...

all the best and yes Bi-xenon answers the single beam question....

i think you really didn't need that seal-beam, as your current reflector might have held the projector properly, but you know best...

also upload High resolution pics in detail of front, rear side of this setup like i had posted in my thread...

                nano dear,
that sealed beam is dedicated to its own hi/low beam, not for holdin up the projector,.the projector is also having hi/low beam.

just by that seal beam we ditched the oem reflector of pulsar which having a pathetic high beam...

                  • well doc...
to be honest why you want both of them having hi/lo??

projector spread is soo much that high beam won't be good...

besides you already have a hid high beam inside the seal-beam so why sacrifice the projector?

i wanted to ask 1 thing to everybody...
i have a projector currently with an H3 socket..

in a bixenon projector, the shied goes up and down inside the projector right??

so one can plonk a h3 bulb inside it too, right??

do we get such h3 socket wala bixenon projectors separately??
                    i just want to know....
currently am not planning to do so....

                        • Every one says that HID without a projector produces too much glare. My question is: The glare is produced in the riders eyes or the oncoming vehicle rider??

                            imagine this........

open highway, trucks are coming with at least armed with 4 90/100 or even 130/100 watts of power from opposite side.you are on a bike ridin, ridin, ridin, for the unknown, why?because you are a tourer.the possibility is the trukies dont see you man!!!!!!and ya you will fail to see the road when a truck with 4 headlighs on coming in fron of you.

trust me more is better,at least get it up to a car level where a decent amount of light you can get,,,,,,,,....

here are some updates from my side,i changed my 6000 k hid to 4300k,thanks navnish, also realigned it.tonight i went a dead against test with current favorite p 220 carb,,,enjoy..

also the projector+sealbeam work is almost 90 percent done.i request bibek ,please update.
