Where to get one in Pune? Where did you get it from.
I wish to change the stock buld as I will be covering Mumbai Pune NH4 more often now at night. So the high Beam from the oncoming vehicles are blinding and with stock bulb in FZ, I see my end to near.
So as per above HID 35W is better than NB55W/60
Which exactly would be a good deal? Does chinese have warranty? Can't really depend on chinese bulbs..who knows they mite be energy sucking demons...
Hey Ankit,
I might not know that much about HIDs in FZ but yes I definitely do know the results after using Osram NB or Philips Premium on FZ. The NB costs around 850/- n Philips Premium are 100/- If you are confused, better try out Philips Premium 1st. It's just 100/- but the result is much better than the stock bulb. NB has a whitish-yellow light but PP has yellowish.
I can even guide you where to buy a PP in Pune.
Regarding HIDs, my guess is still that it'll damage the reflector on prolonged usage. Someone said in a post that it requires 15 min break in between if you are using it for over an hour for cooling of reflectors. The guys who go for HIDs do change their reflectors as well. Else the reflectors might melt. That's the reason I went for Osram NB for my FZ n PP for my TB. (My opinion
)

No one ever had to change the reflector just bcz they opted for HID. It wont discolour or melt the reflectors like a higher watt halogens does since it doesnt heat like halogens. At the time of startup it heats up a bit more than halogens but not for long just a few secs and once its in full brightness it will be less cooler than even a 55W halogen. U can even compare with touching the outer glass of HL assy and feel the diff. It will be just warm not hot. HID does require a cool off time thats once u switch off not in between ur drive. Once u switch off the HID give 1-2 min break for the sake of your HID bulb life span. If it requires 15 mins cooling off time then every one have to take a 15 min coffee break which is not required. Its designed to work continuously without any break.Do it Yourself, what so ever, if Possible

But still, HIDs are white light...

why guess when you are not sure?
I have been using HIDs both Hi and Low for almost a year now on my Fz, and have done about 9K kms on that, which includes 6 hours ride at night with HIDs. Reflectors do not heat up and does not damage anything.
If anybody wants HID's, contact Navnesh, he has a few more left with him.

I had to guess because people at my time didn't allow me to go for it. The HIDs prevalent at my time was some 1000, 3000, etc. Nobody had any suggestion about 35W HIDOriginally posted by shark80 View Postwhy guess when you are not sure?

Eventually I had a perception that HID won't b good (Again, my opinion)
Since then, I have been living with Osram NB for 20K now. As much as you can vouch for HID, I can do the same for NB

Here comes the info from person who is using 90/100w with DC setup on his Pulsar with custom built RR and rewindOriginally posted by abhijeet080808 View Post^^ Thats coz you have not yet experienced HID! HID competes with 100/90W bulbs and above! 60/55W bulbs even NB is no match!
After the comparision between HID vs TWIN HID, 90/100w vs HID, 90/100w vs Osram NB, Osram NB vs Crystal Vision. I can vouch for a HID anyday ofcourse includes TWIN HID on P220.
Once you are addicted to HID, you will feel NB is as good as candle light. I can assure you.

went to the SC & enquired about the rewinding. They told that they will void the warranty if any such kind of changes are made.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostImproper rewinding will hamper the performance of engine and can lead to void of warranty. A rewinded coil can easily be identified (if coil is opened) so there is no question of hiding. BTW whats ur ride on which ur planning the rewinding?
FYI not only engine parts, there are many other parts which come under warranty like the ignition coil, cdi unit, digital meter, led tail, battery (rewinding can hamper battery)
i was planning to rewind on my yamaha gladiator. I mentioned it in my earlier post so i dint bother to mention it again.
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT
