My Dio is about 5 yrs old, & its the regular bulb. Haven't had to replace the stock bulb yet.
Is the Philips halogen one of those glaring ones that might end up in trouble with B'lore cops? Is it a straight fit, & what would be the cost?
Its completely street legal. Its the same which is coming with the new Dio's. You can get it fixed in showroom itself.

Rewinding is not a problem if you get it done from a good person. In Bangalore means its not a problem at all. Thou expensive compared to other places, Ruby Electricals is the best place.

Could you justify this? Coz AFAIK, the stock R15 headlights pull 70w when riding on high beam (has been pointed out here). When i'm running on low, my bike is pulling 55w (agreed it is more than stock) but the same way, in high beam it is only pulling 60w i.e. 10w less than stock. Hence i think that it should not be much of a problem. I would love to hear views/criticisms from experienced guys.

Experienced guys all switched to HID after all the RND which was done 1 & 1/2 - 2 years back . its all your call. If you are happy with the setup then use it ..
I used night breakers once it always drained the battery on low revs. Never hurt the reflectors.

Test your setup for a few months and let us know your feed back.

Had enough with the stock reflector? It will spoil the appeal dude. U need to get a good and nice brackets too. Lucas 7" round is a nice sealed beam found in Gypsy.

Go for APE Truck's sealed beam, very good and precise spread, one of the best Round H4 sealed beams IMO. With the HBm u cant look those cannon even with a 55W stock setup and start receive wild dosage from the on comers if u r on HB mode. I think some day I will convert my bike to an APE 3 wheeler just bcz of APE addiction

nope! ,there is a projector +angel eye+hid for 3000 a piece but it does'nt have that good an output .

mine has a much better output and i don't think a angel eye looks good on a single lamp type bike .the shroud though does have slits where i'm thinking of putting a led on each and that would look cool . HID im gonna buy from the seller who posted a few pages back here for around 1500 .

                                Brother,
whats the make? I mean, is it from BOSCH or is it like FX-R Bi-xenon
and just a question , insted why not get a bi-xenon projectors with HID & angel eyes for 5500/- for single or 9900/- a pair with clear convex lens and proper colored cut-off with a nice throw, since it looks elegant and saves money at the same time. just need advice. thanx
