  • Hi guys,
need one clarification... I was all set to get coil rewinding done for installing 60W bulb for headlight in ma RTR180. Now, when I went to the workshop the day before the d-day, the 'main' mech their said coil rewinding should not be done - there there are multiple coils which will need rewinding, and that this can seriously affect the other electricals, low power lights will blow one by one, can screw up the console display or atleast is life... and like that... He said there is another way of getting the bulb installed without having to change the battery but didnt elaborate on that...

I'm thouroughly confused now... can someone please help is settling my mind... can I indeed go for rewinding without blowing my console etc? What is this other option, is it changing RR unit? - will it be troublefree?

    Looking forward to replies...
    Thanks,
    Lijo

As many others, including me have proved, rewinding is no big deal provided you know what you are doing. I would advice you not to get it done from that mech atleast. He has no idea what he is doing. Find another one!
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Then get a coil upgrade. Its no big deal. Many Xbhpians did it already on pulsars.

Hey man, can u come over here? I can give an auto electrician's contact who had already done a lot of coil widning in many bikes. I've asked him about this RTR, as of now, he didnt got any RTR, but he thinks its possible, and wants to see the coils, then only he can go ahead with that. U can come in the morning give'm the bike and go for a film after that u can collect the bike when u returns. He's so fast and prompt if u take an early appointment, I dont know how's that works now but thats how I was treated. But u can tell'm that u r from TVM and have to go back same day itself. As I said earlier, do go to the mechs for electrical mods cause these morons dont know how it works nd make u confuse with collioquial jargons.

And this is for those who have installed H.I.D 's previously in any bike in Delhi.Pls suggest the good place and if possible do tell the cost of installing this upgrade

One thing more that fazer has twin headlights so which kinda battery they gonna install.
