^^ check the above post.. quoted a previous post by sajjt to the same question I asked...
H4 has two filaments, and has three terminals... whereas H7 has single filament and two terminals...

You have no choice so far as the bulb type is concerned. It can only be a H4 since that's the only one compatible with the Apache's headlamp. As I had previously posted, neither bulb is available in 35 W and 55/60 W is not compatible to the electrical system. If you don't modify the system to support it, then the bulb would be a waste of money since it will be dim.

Currently i am using stock HALONIX HS1 supplied by HH.

I also tried changing to HALONIX HS1- ULTRA BLUE. Sheer waster of money

        Please suggest!
You could try a H4 55/60 W bulb seeing as you already have a HS1 bulb. The H4 is physically compatible with the HS1 but I don't know whether the CBZ can support the 60 W load. Try and see.

Do I just install it directly to the stock setup, are there any other modifications required?

            • No modifications required to fit the H4 bulb. Fit it and see if the maximum brightness is acheived.

              • Problem

Hey friends, from last few months i am using my HID with modified DC setup, pretty comfortably, now i have a few problems---

                1) from last one month dipper is giving problems, high beam runs perfectly flawless, but dipper is not working properly, the light flickers and fluctuate while on dipper and sometimes shuts off completely, sumtimes glows with reduced intensity. is there a loose connection somewhere, if yes where?

                2) as most of you know i have installed 3 additional switches, i want to discuss what will happen in rainy season. water entry in these switches will create problem or not? how does the standard handlebar switches work in rain.

                help guys.

CBZ wont support a 55/60W on a stock setup, u need to go for a coil upgrade or convert it to full DC, so load will be given to batt but with a smart charger.

Surely u can rock, but not more than 20-30 mins after that u can ride without anything. HID requires DC, and the batt charging to be boosted to a 5A avg for which wiring mods and RR swap is required.

                    • Ok i have finally found an electrician who says he can do the wiring needed to change to 55/60w H4 halogen. He said that it will cost around Rs. 700 and asked me to bring just the bulb, nothing else. He didnt mention anything about RR. So how do i know that he wont be screwing up my bike? I dont want a dimly lit 55/60w.

He's going to rewind the stator coils, so nothing is required other than the bulb. Dont worry about the brightness, it can handle a 60W once its rewounded.

So that means i can go and buy an H4 bulb and give it to him? Which one do you suggest - and Osram Night Breaker or a Philips Xtreme Power? Is the Rs. 700 he is asking for justified?

Dude !!! That was for a ZMA-R which by stock is a DC bike and ZMA-R can handle 55/60w Halogen or 35w HID easily without having to change anything.
