And this is for those who have installed H.I.D 's previously in any bike in Delhi.Pls suggest the good place and if possible do tell the cost of installing this upgrade

One thing more that fazer has twin headlights so which kinda battery they gonna install.
installing a HID only for low beam wont drain the batt. BUT my advice is dont use HID in the stock reflector..its a pain for the on coming traffic, get better 55w Halogens.
    Smoke rubber,not tobacco.

i think it is a problem...because i have HID on my P150 ug4 ...there is no such problem till date....there must be some Moisture in your head light assembly . please check that...

First of all u found foggy inside headlight unit or inside bulb ? Only the arc will be red nothing more..

Don't keep the HID's ON when bike is idle. Heat generated will be more when in idle. Thou that is not the reason for any fog content but just give a try.

I think u've got bi xen HID. And about the heat its normal when startup HID gets heated than a Halo then it will be reduced after stabilization and that time the heat will be less than a Halo. But it should not be there always as the startup heat. And there should not be any fog or so, me too suspect its a problem. Is it happens everytime u switch off? Check for any cracks on the ceramic coatings (insulator)on the HID return wire.

It is only for Osram which is 55 watt . I am also using HID for past 6 months. There is no such issue regarding the reflector of your head light.

May be the kit is deffective, poor UV sheilding can cause making these issues, check for the glasses too. Anyway its not bcz of heat as ur ONB was producing more heat than the HID.

I was using Osram NB for more than 1.5 years and it was extensively used I can say.

After putting HID (3months ago) I have done almost 7k kms out of which Night riding is more than 50% !!

Might be defective kit. Anyways not much bothered until it turns full black.

                        Glass is absolutely fine.

                        • Can someone help me in choosing a better headlamp for my machismo 350. I had a stock bulb installed, which I later change to (unknown brand's) "white" lamp. The problem is, its very good on reflecting surfaces but bad on lightning the road itself. I can't go for HID s of now, would like replace the bulb only. Can I use a higher wattage bulb? (I suppose the default is 35W)

                          • ^^ From what I have heard, Unicorn's 35W bulb is the best among all.

Is it? Then why our Shreeni boy is crying for more?
There's no enough statement in lighting and mileage.

Even white HID (6000K) will give u poor vision in bad weather like rain and fogs due to this colour temp. Others will think that u r carrying a light house but u'll feel its a candle light with wrong CT bulbs Always stick to sunlight CT (4.3 -5.5K max in case of HID. And for Halogens normal HS1 Philips/Osram/Flosser are good brands. If u can upgrade to 55/60W, then Osram Night Breaker will be best but expensive will get for 700/- per peice. There r others options like Philips Extreme vision, Clear VIsion etc, not expensive as Osram.

Unicorn has a ordinary Philips 35w HS1 bulb. How is different from other bikes

I felt HID's are better than Osram NB in heavy rain as well. Agree visibility of road is not good but atleast the surrounding vehicles and sign boards are clearly visible which is not the case in halogen.

Agree with the brands of Halogens. Flossers are cheap and best. 300rs pair for 100/130w
