finally installed 60/55W bulb on my 180 UG3.changed the stator plate to that of 180 avenger and put its H4 bulb.bulb fits in socket without a hitch.the light output is great.thanks everyone who helped me in this and cleared all my doubts

Dude !!! That was for a ZMA-R which by stock is a DC bike and ZMA-R can handle 55/60w Halogen or 35w HID easily without having to change anything.

Dude, I think, he's going to rewind the stator coil and improve the charging rate, I am not sure about that idea bcz, evenif the stator coil is rewinded, the RR should be able to transfer what ever it receives from the coil. If its capable, then no other changes are required. Ask for any other RTR he's moded before giving him. And there's nothing wrong in asking whats to be done, after all u r going to pay for that, so that u should know whats happening.

I think, this can be vouched by RTR owners.

hi-lo beam on hunk!

yesterday day night i found that, while i'm in low beam and use the pass light, both the filament lit and produced 60w like light! but if i use the hi beam its only 35w.
so that means we can use both filaments? what possible hazard i'd face if do that for longer period?

the bulb is of avenger 200. it costs 190 rupees.the output is great especially the high beam is rocking.gud bulb i shud say.the light is yellow ...same as stock pulsars

No you cant. The P220 uses a h7 holder type and the holder is too small to fit a h4 HID.

modding the steel socket..its a pain and i doubt if it will be perfect.

Instead of altering the holder arrangement in your doom you can buy a H4 telescopic (motorized) conversion kit and fit it in your bike without any mod..

but for your info, s we can fix a H7 bulb in a H4 doom. for that you have to have
a H4-H7 adapter ( its a washer kind of metal ring which has H4 shape at its outer diameter and H7 shape at its inner diameter)

i suggest you to go for H4 directly
