  • Help: HID kit for Honda Aviator

Hey guy's I own a Honda Aviator, The stock headlight is really pathetic
From where iv'e inquired for HID kits (milan subway) they say that there is no warranty on these stuff..
There are Chinese ones that start from 950rs and then there are other brands that shoot upwards (but again no warranty)

I need to know from where can I source a HID kit for my Aviator.?? and is there any specific brand that i need to stick to.!!

P.S I have a stock battery, so after installing an HID kit, would it drain the battery .?? any precautions that need to be taken before buying one!! and yes last but not the least, a good mechanic who can do all of this for me

    Awaiting your valuable inputs, cheers!!

Try lamington road, ders a shop named jagdish scooters, d guy is xtremely helpful...n ya, do bargain, d price for d projector i purchased was quoted INR 2400 by others n he quoted 2300, but he gave it for 2100. so, my point again, bargain n check the bulb properly n go for a slim ballast, it gives an awesome brightness.

Does he provide any sort of warranty on them.?
I've read your query, its says that you are looking out for an installer, why does he not install them ??

No warranty fr d products though, n he jus has a shop for accessories, exhausts, filters, lights, horns etc, but he is not into repairing n mechanics stuff, so there was a mechanic outside his shop who does all the work, however, he demanded INR 600 for doing the work, which i thought was outrageous as my mulund wala mechanic said he will do it for 200 bucks as he is the only person whom i allow to touch my bike, but unfortunately he left for his native place n will come by 10th may, n im impatient to c dose lights in action on my impulse. will surely post d pics as soon as i get them installed, have found a mechanic cum electrician who has agreed to do it for INR 350, n i have seen his work on an fz n i liked it. So in a day or two, i may get it done.

Any chance of you posting in English? (as per the forum rules), it would make a much easier read for us older guys.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

im not sure about the brand, however, it reads IIKDO, and i also saw the cheap chinese ones with a big fat ballast which is not waterproof for 1100 - 1200 rs. which include a projector lens, an hid, and a ballast.
The one that i have bought is a projector lens of 3 and a half inch in diameter, has double angel eyes (red and white), red demon eye, and an 8000k hid bulb, with waterproof slim ballast, fuse, wiring harness and one more thing which i dont know what to call.
I also checked out an original branded one, which was for 6500, which came with an 8 month warranty, however, i thought even if the one that i have bought goes poof before 8 months and i can still buy another one for another 2000, so overall it will be 4100 in total, so i didnt go for the original branded thing.
And yes, a word of advice, going for an hid without the projector lens is unsafe and illegal too as the oncoming traffic may get blinded.
If you buy an HID, make sure you opt for the slim ballas as it gives optimized output and less chances of going poof, its also waterprooof.
Im attaching the pictures of the whole set that i have bought.

                      • Guys, does the RTO allow fitting these after market lights?? Have heard that, they catch hold of these bikes while checking and fine for mods without having permission from RTO.

Just recently, many bullet riders were caught and some were fined for just doing some mods to their handle bars (putting a long handle bar than the usual) . Others were fined for changing lights, exhaust and various things.

                        Any opinions for this??

                        Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

                          • Hi, guys.
                            I need your help.
I recently converted my bike to full DC, I gave it to an auto electrician, he did coil rewinding and installed Bajaj Star rr(it is like APE rr) I asked him to put 2 spst relays as few guys are using them.

ID:	1842785 but he said it is not necessary.

What should be the voltage and current rating on multi-meter at varying rpm?
also are relays a must even if I just want to install a 55/65 watt halogen for few months?
if yes then and what is a low cost and good brand of relays?

                            Thanks a ton..
