Setup looks cool.Originally posted by Pratik91 View PostHere are some pics of the dual angel eye mod on my pulsar 135.
Its a bi xenon 6000k, focus is good, but dipper needs leveling as the projector is focused quite close.
Let there be light!
Can you post the on road light spread pictures.
And what is the cost of this projector.
In 35W Philips is best.Originally posted by yashasvi View PostWhich 35W halogen bulb has the highest intensity?? I want to use it on my pulsar 180 ug4 to increse the intensity of the headlight..

Gurus, Please help me on this.
Yesterday I gave my pulsar 150 dtsi(2005) for DC conversion to an auto electrician as suggested by a fellow XBHP member, he is located in my near by area, he quoted me rs. 1400/- for coil rewinding+Ape rr and labour charges.
However, he said if I get an APE rr myself the cost for rewinding and labour would be rs. 750/-, I think he may use a Delhi made Ape rr,
Because he's OEM Ape rr costs somewhere around rs. 1100/- so I was wondering how can he charg Rs. 1400/- including Ape rr and labour charges??
Is there any way to check if the regulator and rectifier he is installing is a genuine one?
also when I asked him if he's gonna put 2 SPST relays, he said since we're using Ape rr it will take care of it and there won't be any battery draining or other issues.
Please let me know how can I identify if the Ape rr is Genuine also please tell me if two SPST relays are a must and what is a brand of good and affordable relays...............

I guess a stock bulb won't have much intensity through a projector. Opting for a higher watt bulb(55W) also won't help much coz it won't glow with its full potential on stock pulsar batteries, rewinding would be needed for that.
So a 35w bi-xenon/HID is ideal

Riding apache 180 ac for 3 months basically with no light(Hid+projector set, very less output, don't know whats wrong). So need to clear some doubts. Will post pics of light output tonight.
Question:
One mech told me that he will do the dc conversion by swapping rr with ape rr,but no coil rewinding.Thinking about getting rewinding done from auto electrical people.
I am a total noob here,am I missing something?Which one to do first?
Is it a good idea to get a used coil and get it rewinded,so that I won't mess up everything?"Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

Hey guy's i own a Honda Aviator, The stock headlight is really pathetic.
From where iv'e inquired for HID kits (milan subway) they say that there is no warranty on these stuff..
There are Chinese ones that start from 950rs and then there are other brands that shoot upwards (but again no warranty)
I need to know from where i can source a HID kit for my Aviator.?? and is there any specific brand that i need to stick to.!!
P.S i have a stock battery, so after installing an HID kit, would it drain the battery .?? any precautions that need to be taken before buying one!!
and yes last but not the least, a good mechanic who can do all of this for me :P
Awaiting your valuable inputs, cheers!!Last edited by undergroundrider; 04-07-2013, 11:51 PM.

Bi Xenon projector on hero impulse
Hello,
i own a hero impulse since july 2012, n now im planning to upgrade the headlight with a bi xenon projector.
I have already purchased the projector with inbuilt double angel eyes, demon eye, and an HID bulb of kelvin 8000K and slim ballast n wiring for INR 2100.
Now, the issue is that im not able to find a good mechanic/electrician to get if fitted in my bike.
Few of them say "We wont do it" "we cant guarantee that we will b able to remove the glass without breaking it" "Few say bike will b needed to change to full dc setup"
The battery in my bike is 12V-4ah.
So my queries are:
1. Any methods by which the glass can be removed without breaking?
2. Any drawbacks if the bike is done to a full DC setup?
3. Is a full DC setup very complicated process?
4. Any recommended mechanics from thane to CST?
5. The xbhpians who have got this done, please let me know does it consume a lot of battery?
I have not yet seen a single hero impulse with hid projector, so if anyone has it on their hero impulse, please post the pics
