  • Go for Osram Night Breaker, it is wonderful, i am using it in my CBR250 an am extremely satisfied. Just to realize the improvement take a photograph at night focussing onto a wall or something before you change the bulb and take photo after you change the bulb in same camera setting.
The bulb is expensive but worth the money.

      • Guys a query on my classic pulsar 180s Head light. the reflector in my head light is too bad to give any good light.. I have read in lot of places to put a Tata Ace reflector in the Pulsar round dome.
        My question
Will i get the Ace reflector alone or do i need to buy the whole Head light assembly?

Is that the only thing i need to buy for the upgrade. Any thing specific need to be bought to fit in the pulsar round dome with respect to the ACE refelector?

Alll the light gurus, please spread some light on this. Thanking you in advance..

Having said that, if your battery is working fine, the h/l must not be flickering because even if the RR is faulty because your h/l would be getting its power from the battery directly (till the battery is dead). Most probably its some faulty wiring/contacts. Get the h/l wiring checked.
thanks abhi bhai 4 d reply. did put on a new battery but the minimal flickerin stil continues. its very minimal. if u rev up to 1.5k rpm the light output increases 2 d max. therefore i thot the rectifier is at fault n did check my wiring also, dey r perfect. but forgetting evrythin, wat will b the pros n cons of adding the much talked about ape's rr to my set up?

if the headlamp intensity increases on revving then its pretty normal for a healthy DC RR.
My custom RR pumps ~8A & I use a 55W h/l, the intensity increases very noticeably whenever I rev beyond 3k RPM, only meant to say that kind of flickering is very normal.
Ape RR is a very very efficient & reliable RR for modifications, it can withstand & provide output upto 20A max., having said that, I don't think you need any RR replacement.

There are rows of automobile shops near milan subway (west). IF you're lucky, you might get it there.

                      • i have a cbz xtreme 2011, now sock lighing.
i need more light but not interested in doing things like converting to dc, widing..

so i'm pointing to; is there any way to get a brighter light by just replacing the current bulb?
if so which bulb can give me better light in stock wiring?

told you, no matter what RR you use, you'll have that kinda flickering. You'll not find that kind of flickering only if the power output at idling is more than the total power consumption, which is hard to get from the stock stator winding.

Plonk in a 55/60W H4 on your high beam

No, your stock stator cannot provide enough power to any higher wattage bulb, you can still try and install a higher bulb and see though..

                            • just upgraded my Pulsar 180 UG 5 to hid with projector lamps. Here are some pics m posting.. It comes with angel and demon eye!

It was a DIY job, but still due to pulsar BCU not supporting HID high & low beams switching with stock switches, i have set it to low beam temporarily. Will think of getting these to work with stock switches after my exams.

P.S. I dont like the external toggle switches which can do the job!
