Please use a Regulator-Rectifier and not just a rectifier !!!!!

    • light coil end has three grounded wire.

thanks Abhijeet n shoeb2015 bhai. i m from mobile internet.

      1. do i need to replace that rectifier with new silicon bridge-rectifier. or to handmade 4 diode to troubleshoot voltage problem.
      2. light coil section has three wires. please tell me which wire is end of light coil from the above picture.
      3. i wish to forward 'end of light coil wire' directly to custom rectifier ac negative pole. On the other hand, yellow wire (from RR end) goes to custom rectifier ac positive pole and it completes the circuit.

after things are done what is the location of negetive ac wire so that i can forward it to custom rectifier. may be Red wire from coil socket will act for this.

NOTE: Do NOT touch the orange area, its the GND for you ignition coil, your bike won't start if you tamper it.

Plz use UG4 RR instead of your custom made rectifier (your circuit does not regulate voltage).
Open your battery side cover panel and look for a bunch of wires coming out of the stator & going into the wiring harness of your bike.
Cut yellow wire (with red stripe) -> feed to UG4 RR blue wire
Cut black wire -> feed to UG4 RR blue wire
White from UG4 RR to battery
Black from UG4 RR to GND or battery as per your convenience.

btw, after conversion is done, two rr will play battery charging. right.?

i will try to rewind coil later., not now, i know a electrician in my area who wind fan coils , water pump coils pretty good.

              Part no. is DJ201202.
This RR is used in both P150 & P180 UG4

APE RR is better than UG4 RR for your coils as it can pump more than 20 amps whereas a UG4 RR can pump only upto 5.5amps,
So depending upon your requirement choose the RR.

So that makes me decide, I should go for a H7 and fix it straight to my head light.
35/55W I have to decide - 4300/3200K I have to decide, I will keep posted.
Just got the Philips Diamond Vision 5000k 60/55W H4 type fixed. That solves the light issue on my RE TBTS. I should thank everyone on this forum and XBHP for enlightening me with information. I have learned a lot from this site.

I will be riding to Leh this year god will and the headlamp upgrade was an important part of the plan. Everything is set, I will post some pics soon.

                • hi,

I have a CBZ *. I am planning to change the lighting setup to twin Headlight's. Or maybe if possible something like the KTM Duke style headlight.

Is it also possible that one of them a projector type lamp? or will this be an overkill or unnecessary.

I live in Delhi and wanted to know
                  a. from where i can get this setup done
                  b. what all things do i need to buy
                  c. how much will this setup cost

Looking forward to your suggestions. Please help.

Yes, you can, But it will make no difference at all.

It's because your lighting Coil has been arranged only to produce 35 Watts irrespective of whatever higher wattage bulb you plonk in
