Hey Guys

I have bought a Xenon HID lighting Kit for my Lightning 535. would read through the forum for installation guide n stuff, if further more I need any help I would disturb u guys. tomorrow morning am going to test this.

sorry to burdge in but here is some info about stock r 15 s electricals and some mod i did few days back in one of my friens bike ..

STOCK IS 160WATT@8K RPM!!!
3 PHASE.

STILL THE RPM BELOW 5 K THE OUTPUT IS TOO LOW,LESS THEN 3 AMOS!!!!!!!

WHAT I DID TOOK THE COIL AND STRIPPED IT OFF AND USED 17 GAUGE WIRE TOTAL 85-90 FEET. AND PLONK IT ON APE RR AND NOW HE IS USING 2 55/60 BULBS NON STOP,JUST THE THING IS HE IS NOT HAPPY WITH THE BATTERY ,A UPGRADE OF 6+WILL BE GREAT..

HMMMMMMMMM good very good DOC now i'll really disturb u for my r15 coil mod as for long time i wanted to run 2 55watt hid at a time

Okay...been going through this thread and Fully automatic DC changeover in Pulsar UGIII models.
Truly appreciate the DIY guides and posts from all the guys here. Impressive work!
Am from Bombay... Have a red '08 Pulsar 200 DTSi- All stock condition, no mods whatsoever. I bought this from a friend few mnths back. The bike's in splendid mechanical condition but am fed up with the electricals & illumination

Now, there are 3 parts to my query-

1. The electricals keep goin kaput time and again. Will a change in the entire wiring fix this?? Any other long-term solution?? (My mechanic says it's the sensor that needs to be fixed)
2. I really want to switch to DC but after going thru the thread, I'm wondering if a DIY job is a good idea...I have NO experience of tinkering around with bikes and don't want to ruin the battery ( a brand new Amaron Pro bike Rider Beta...9Ah I guess ) or blow up anything else.
   The mechanics are wary of doing it...they either say it's impossible and 1 guy quoted abt 1600 for it. What is the most effective way to get a fail-proof conversion done?
3. I want to improve the front illumination- right now there's the std Halonix 35/35W halogen and it's unimpressive because it runs on AC current. Also the rear stock LEDs suck....they're partly flickering and Bajaj puts such shoddy ones that they don't even look like LED when lit! I doubt there are any aftermkt ones for the Pulsar....so maybe here too I wud have to go for some ingenious lighting.
   Advice on this please?

I don't want any OTT lighting fixtures or pseudo-xenon projectors that blind motorists in the opposite lane.
Also, I don't plan to stick with this bike forever and might pass it on after a yr or so, so I don't want it to appear. 'modded' in any way.....so no toggle switches please Hence what I need are discreet, simple enhancements that work beautifully only when switched on and don't compromise safety in any way

Raneet suggested Coil rewind+Ape RR unit+New wiring. Can someone guide me/ direct me to a tutorial on xBhp for this

my uncle is looking for a good lightning solution for his pulsar 150 dtsi 2004 [it uses dynamo for headlight]

can he use HID bulb without any changes to wiring ?

he wants to change only the bulb. no changes to wiring, or reflector

hey guys i needed angle eye for my fz16..i called a local dealer..he said 1800/- for a single and 2800/- for single with lamp or lens i dont knw wats that,....any idea?????

kit includes: 2 angel eye ring's and 1 socket adapter.

Why don't you order Angel eyes online? Would probably get them cheaper.

I had a pair of fog lamps from swift desire lying with me for quite sometime
so decided some experiment,
opened my r15 headlight and installed it directly after removing the reflectors
on the beam spread adjustment screws.
It looks good but the illumination is not that great,thought of installing an
hid but the lamps read H8 type so my question is are there any hid available for the same..

Hi guys, i have impulse now. I had a bad accident with my r15 due to poor lighting hitting a dog, bad time for me .. So i was looking for better lighting solution for my impulse.

Checked with stock RR & charging amps was 3.5 MAX. ( Have a amp meter)

Went through DC conversion thread & purchased a APE RR unit. After checking the electricals , electrician said the DC RR unit can be fixed without removing grounding from coil in my bike. Checked the amp & it was giving 3 to 8 amps at various RPM & around 15 to 18 volts. He made some change in the headlight side & headlight RAN from battery. Was using a 55w bulb & it was good. I usually ride in moderate speed.

Recently before leaving to service, i rode it fast & meter display went off & came back when i switched on the headlight. So i sensed that voltage is high.
So drained the battery completely by giving load Left my bike to hh service in nandanam (chennai) & told him that i will give them the stock RR to change.
I had some work & went in the late afternoon to give them the stock RR. I was shocked to see that electricals were not working. The cabling had a foul smell & the meter was gone. I was not able to say anything to them...

I am now not able to run the 55w headlight with stock RR as its draining the battery very fast in 20 minutes. I want good DC lighting.. what to do now guys?

You do get HID's but the purpose of FOG lamps are different from Headlights, so it will never satisfy the need of being Headlight !
