Hi Princesirohi,

thanks for the Advice. i went to the SVC and adjusted the Focus. now the light is much better but its not up to the mark on Highways. so can you please advice if i can fit the HID to my Yamaha SZR bike. it is a DC bike (Light can be switched on without staring the bike, this is my understanding of a DC bike ).i don't have any knowledge about the Electrical's of the bike .so i dont know how much power is generated from the dynamo etc etc. but i know that my bike have a 12V,5 AH(10H) battery the headlight is a Halogen bulb (12 V, 35/35 W).

therefore can a HID kit be fitted on to my bike. please advice what i need to do to get this done.

definitely bro you can go ahead and fit HID's to you bike. But remember to Attatch a projector and also go for 4300-6000k lumen hid's,else you will be a cop magnet. Never use hid's without projectors. because its illegal. and about the battery... my bikealso has the same configuration as that of yours. 5amp battery and i am running 2 hid's . no problem faced yet

Hi, what are the chances of console circuit short circuiting, or facing some other electrical problem with installation of HID in the bike ?

On the pulsar if you fix a halogen + hid setup you shouldnt have any issues at all.

That reflector around HID, is above HID or below it?

That metal piece arrangement is below the bulb...

Then it's not true high beam bulb, right?. You may want to remove that reflector to throw even brighter focus to the distance.

Your battery has never drained out?
my bike doesn't have a Kick start, so need to have the fire in the battery to power up the engine everyday.

a 55w halogen will heat the reflector and visor more than a 35w hid... Atleast this happed on my bike...(moreover mine was a 45w hid which i later came to know) If a 35w hid melts reflectors then either the hid is a higher wattage or the reflector is of poor quality... Reflector melting is common on hero honda bikes...
@all: can rtr180 be turned into dc with the new rtr parts which is now a full dc bike...? How much will be the cost?

Bro actually we were talkng about 35W halogen and Hid . If you are talking about 55w halogen compare it with a 55 w hid as well..:-)and definitely 35w chinese hids are never 35w. this is a known fact...

Always go for a medium price range kit, as it can save ur HL assy in long run. A cheap quality kit may not have proper UV shielding on the capsule to protect from bubling and dechroming of reflectors. THe culprit is not the heat of the tube but lack of proper UV shield.
