If you remove/replace the pilots and the tail light, you can ride around with 35+65 combo at higher rpms. Else, regular battery drainage with 65+65 combo. Have tried it out.Originally posted by nastrofaction View PostI have combination of Amaron 5 ah battery and Osram NB x 2 combo in mind.

1) Are you using H7 bulbs with the setup? Because P220 comes with H7 and we get H4 as default on R15. If you are using stock bulbs that you got with R15, try switching to H7 bulbs. That should take care of the focusing but since it is a single filament bulb, hi/low would not work.Originally posted by adi.singh1992 View PostGuys need help, i have sourced 2 pulsar 220 projectors and installed them on my r15 using the stock mounting points of the reflector. But it is not performing up to the mark like they light up the road on p220.
What could be the problem??
Have adjusted the focus but no help..
2) If you are using H7 bulbs, are you using 35w bulbs or 55w? As P220 comes with 55w.
3) If you are using 55w bulbs then it is possible it is not getting its full illumination as our ride cannot pull 2x55w bulbs below 5000 RPM so the illumination would decrease.

Iam a proud owner of a R15 V2, these days I feel the need to change the headlights-
1) No proper illumination, banged a guy crossing on the highway because I actually dint see him walking.
2) I dont like the yellow tint.
3) Both the lights are absolutely rubbish.
Now here is my query.
1) I dont wish to hamper the battery or electricals.
2) Plug and Play is what I seek.
3) White or blue lights would do - let me know if they are any?
4) Should not be costly.
5) Should only be 35w since the battery supports that.
6) No HID or Projector stuff.
Please let me know ASAP since I'am planning to change the setup over the weekend. If possible do mention the costs of the bulbs.sigpic

Bro was in a similar dilemma lik you just till today!! Am getting HID without projector.. The aftermarket projectors which you get is just for show and illumination is not so good.. Its generally used for low beam for spreading of light and not focusing it.. This is what my mech told me.. Using normal HIDs is a better option is what he says.. And moreover original projectors cost you minimum about 5k.. The chinese ones start from 2k in bangalore... No guarantee on chinese ones.. And no guarantee on the ballast... However for HID he is giving me 3 months guarantee on the ballast.. Obviously there's no point in it.. I'd suggest you to go for plain HIDOriginally posted by Praj zm View Posthello guys

HID for Unicorn
HI All,
I stay in Kolkata and currently i own a cb unicorn. i am planning to upgrade it's stock headlight to HID. As far as i have understood that 35 watt H4 type HID i should opt for.
can anybody suggest me the brands i should go ahead with and approximate price.
Do i need to retain the existing halogen assembly? If so then how to fit both the HID and halogen in the existing assembly?
Does HID installation requires modifications in electricals or it's plug-n play type.
I tried to inquire at wellington .. they said kit costs around rs1000/- but without any warranty..
Now i a bit scared and confused also.. since i dont want to be in a situation where i am in the middle of the road (be it highway or city ) without any light and horn..
can anyone help and guide...........

Yes, you definitely need to convert your Unicorn to full DC for using the HID. Also you need to use Relay for the head light switch.Originally posted by projnesh View PostHI All,

Don't connect HID directly from the battery without changing the electricals(this is what I had done), the battery cannot sustain the load.

1: Yes i'm using h7 bulbs.
2: I'm using stock 55 watt bulbs that comes with p220.
3: As far as i see they are glowing to it's full strength.
The light emitted is very much scattered.More than stock reflectors.

they are located in Kolkata itself. Ordered my HID kit from them. Waiting for my courier to arrive as it is festival time.
Will post my review after I experience it personally.
