  • Hey Guys,

I have been planning to use some fog lamps/ aux lights (still to decide) on my TB TCI for a long time. Now this thread is very informative, but for someone like me (who knows nothing about electricals), the more I read, the more confusing it gets

So its best to ask a question, isn't it? Well its a Thunderbird TCI model and I see a serious lack of proper lighting, specially when riding on single roads inside villages and towns or the ones connecting those.

    1. So i guess Aux lights will suite me best?
    2. The battery is 12V 14 Amps, so can I install 2 aux lamps?
    3. Somewhere on this thread I read about Hella Comet 200 lamps. Is it advisable for a bike? and I assume that it comes with HID bulbs?

    Thanks in advance.
    keep riding

In Royal Enfield the charging capacity is too good, so you can install any lights but looking at the hella comet 200 is too much for bikes.
You can use projectors but don't buy a local Chinese projectors. Buy a branded one just like hella.

You can check out my projector setup which is not a chinese one which makes it very reliable. It is fitted with 55watts bulb, so no need of any HID and the throw is just awesome. I am sure you will drop the idea of HID after seeing it (I have posted some pictures on previous pages and link on my signature). And above all it is not at all expensive

Saw your setup, great job there! After reading more, I have come to the conclusion of changing the stock bulb to philips extreme vision. This would increase the visibility quite significantly.

As mentioned above, I have planned to replace the bulb in the main headlight assembly. Along with that, i also plan to fit an extra aux lamp + fog lamp. I know this sounds a bit crazy (may be), but I need every bit of extra light that I can draw from my bike when riding in the night. HID is ruled out because I frequent rainy/foggy weather. I think this is pretty much doable, what say?

Any suggestion of shops in bangalore where I can buy the above mentioned? I know there are a lots of option on JC road, but any specific shop someone can point out?

                              Thanks.

                              • Hi All,

I want to modify my Yamaha Fazer's twin headlights to Bi-xenon 4300K HID Projector setup. I tried to contact Mr. Navnish but I don't know where is this person! Not reachable.

Can anyone from Bangalore help me with decent quality setup? I have changed my battery to 5 AMP MF..... Do I need to go for coil rewinding or something like that? I ride mostly between 3000k to 5000k rpm.

How much the Bi-Xenon setup will cost for twin headlights? I don't need angel eyes or somethong like those. A detailed answer will be appreciated.

                                Many Thanks

                                Abhijit
