Hi Guys,
Need some help with LED tail light.
As shown in the picture below the bottom six LEDs are not glowing. They used to flicker earlier, then the have stopped working. They are white color LEDs used to glow the number plate.
There are 24 red LEDs on the back which are running perfect.
Any suggestions?
Appreciate help from Mumbai - Pune guys.Last edited by abhijitkn; 09-13-2012, 11:54 PM.

Sorry to say your LED's are blown out. This happens because of your resistors, if your resistors are of lower ohms then they tend to get warm faster and this leads to flickering of your led's and then eventually blowing them out. If it was a DIY job then along with the leds replace the resistors as well, replace it with higher ones.Like say if you were using 100 ohms then go for 200 ohms, this will help you in extending your led life.

sorry if the same question is asked already.
I have a Apache 180 ABS[DC already]. I plan to add two auxilliary driving lights to the engine guard bar[not fog]. the idea is to get better visibility and also better lighting. planning to conect to the High beam connection since it will not need another extra switch. but will connect a cut switch so that i can keep it turned off during city commuting occasional highbeam/flashings. it will be helpful for highway touring @night.
The apache stock headlamps are 35W/35W.
Could you please let me know any reliable shops in bangalore for the same and the cost expected for the setup. I am thinking of getting 35W/35W bulbs or if available LEDs. How about the battery load? any Xbhp-ian with apache did similar mod? Here I am, On the Road Again!

Thanks. It was not a DIY job..I bought the tail lamp.
Is it still possible to replace the resistors?

For choosing the resistors for LEDs, u can refer:

FRIENDS today i've got fixed two 60W aux lamps, Costs Rs.250 for pair & wiring, switch + installation 250rs. I've used the number plate mounting for mount the lamps.
The main use of this lamps is for to give the pass bcz i'm using HID so can't use the HID for pass & the halogen in HID setup is really worst. No one can able to notice that.

Is 3000k too yellow? Any one using 3000k?Was anybody taking my name??Originally posted by sunny_ View PostRaneet (from Kolkata) is using 3000K HID on his R15 v2.0

The color closest to Halogen is the 4300k but the difference between normal Halogen bulb and 4300k is like the difference between the color in a bulb and a tube light. I am currently using 2x35w 3000k HIDs on my R15 with stock reflector. Won't saw it's day ahead of me, but the visibility is extremely detailed, and that's what I feel is more important. Though mine is not a pure 3000k as mine has a greenish tinge. Tested in city and highway roads and I am absolutely happy that I shifted to 3000k from 4300k..
Though visibility is way better than what I could capture in pics, yet posting some pictures:

Had a query. Has anybody tried rewinding the stator on R15? What I know is R15 generates 160w at 5000 RPM. Wanted to increase the value. So wanted to know if there is anyone who has tried it. Also which RR unit has been used??

Projectors are just a H/L setup with a small reflector and a lens above it. It can be used with any bulb type (Halogen/HID) or any rating (35w/55w/80w/100w/130w/..). Installing projectors never drains battery. Choice of improper bulbs do.Originally posted by rvibin View PostI am thinking of installing projector in my pulsar220-S.
