You wont get much difference by changing the stock bulbs to say something like Osram Nightbreaker plus (60/55W) or Philips Crystal Vision or Xtreme Vision (60/55w).
If you replace both the stock bulbs with 60/55w, you may face battery drain issue depending on the ration of daytime : night riding.

So best bet is to go for HIDs.

I have tried a lot of 60/55w bulbs before finally going the HID way.

Its between branded ones and Chinese/Taiwanese stuff. In branded you can get Philips (but beware fakes are available a lot easily than originals), P8, Morimoto 3Five (you will have to order from the retrofit).

Any of the above mentioned branded kit will set you back by 8-9.5k (or maybe more for the morimoto kit as they offer a five year warranty).

The generic chienese kits are available from anything like 2.2k for a pair to 6k for a pair.
The cheapest ones dont come with any warranty, however the pricier ones do come with warranty.

Reg the kelvin part : I am using a 6000K kit as I couldn't get a 4300K chinese kit locally. The light output is great and so is the cutoff without using projectors. Planning to shift to a Philips 4300k by next month after selling the current kit.

I have a 2 month old R15 version 2.0. Not at all happy with the stock lights' output. Here are my pointers

1. Can i put projectors and install a halogen bulb in it? If yes of what spec.
2. projectors + HID's ? (not the pure white light types.)
3. only high wattage bulbs (no projectors) without tampering stock setup of battery and wiring harness.

Please advice. The bike will be up for second service this saturday.

P.S. I don't want to hamper the warranty of the babe.

there is no more effort on battery these LED's ll consume much less current than your parking bulbs. Yesterday i've chacked the 15 LED pannel it's consuming only 0.15amps but Normal 5w halogen bulb ll consume 0.65 amps.

And also how reliable are these chinese products, plus disadvantages of having them. I will installing them on Pulsar180 UG4.

Go and have a talk with the Pro-Biker guys at M.G. Road, opposite aurora towers. They install HID headlamps with 1 year replacement-at-your-home warranty in case the bulb fuses or any other problem occurs. I think they would be able to solve all your queries.
