AFAIK,its never going to give you an optimum output.its designed differently so most likely you wont get enough width.

and any case, pls make sure you use a shield in it....i believe its output pattern will really harm the on coming traffic.

What you have to do is
              -Get a Bi-Xenon Projector
              -and Get a 35W HID
and just fix this into your headlight dome!
don't worry, your battery will be fine as long as you don't leave the HID's on when the bike is switched off!

                • Osram Night Breaker headlamps for Yamaha R15

                  Hello guys,

I want to change the stock headlamps of my motorcycle (Yamaha R15) with Osram Headlights (model no. H4 - 64193 NBR / 12 V 60/55 W). Do any of you guys have installed these lamps on your bike? If so, could you kindly tell me how they perform in comparision to the stock headlamps. Also is there is a risk of damaging the electricals and straining the battery when these lamps are in operation? Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks.

                        • Ok now I have read through around 90% of this thread and numerous pages of other threads in relation to this topic.

Now I am picking up an R-15 in the next few days, as I will regulary need to travel home at night, the general concensus tells me that the R-15's headlights aren't upto the job. So what to do now?

I understand HID lighting to an extent, but this whole projector thing still leaves me baffled! All I need is a kit that's reasonably priced, that includes everything required for me to install, this is where the confusion kicks in, now the R-15 has one lamp which is the low beam, now the other is it just for the brights or what?

Basically I want to know is what I need to upgrade the lights, preferably a complete kit (plug and play, if you like) , approximate cost and where to get it from, now it doesn't have to be HID's just a descent improvement over stock, my night riding will only be cruising or a comute home, fast riding will be restricted to daylight hours as safety is a priority, now that I have responibilities.

So to HID or to not HID, that is my question, the main concern is low beam vision, please bear that in mind if you reply to this post.

                          Cheers,

                          Stefan

                            • Thanks for reply, I had checked your posts out, was looking at this kit Bi-Xenon Projectors for cars and bikes with free shipping all over India: sale, price seems to have everything required, hi-lo beam, projectors, ballast and the xenons at 7200 bucks for a pair, is it a good price?
