I always see people painting reflectors black after putting projectors.
What is the reason behind doing so?Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

HI All
As we already have this thread, not creating a new one for my query
This is the fourth time my headlight cowl has cracked (could be because of potholes or vibration in the fairing)
And i'm sick of it now. This was the 3rd headlight cowl in the last 2 years and 2nd in the last 6 months.
Now i want to know, What other option do it have. I don't want to change the look drastically.
Are the last gen Unicorns headlight cowl sturdier then this?
Note:- There are practicaly no potholes on the road i ride.

It often takes a humiliating overtake to understand that an early jump off the red light won't help them lead the pact. All I want to say is - Go after green.

The bike can support dual HIDs without any issue. But, I have used LEDs for the pilots.
Beam shots to come later - I have to align the beams perfectly.
,looking fwd for the beam shots, which brand hids are you using?
Socha Toh Locha.

i like the projector shrouds. where from?
are the sides of the projectors sealed so that there's no light dispersion?
any reason why u chose to leave the stock reflectors unpainted?
again... very nicely done.
waiting to see the final result.

I left the reflectors as it is coz I was not sure how it will turn out. Nope, no dispersions at all. And I have not sealed up anything. Its as shown in the below pics.Originally posted by xionite View Postnice.

About the R15, I can say its phenomenal in many ways.
When I opened it up, I could see the attention to details to the various body parts as well as the wirings.
Its the same projector as found here.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postamazing setup man.... how do you align the beams is what i want to know...
and how have you mounted the projectors?? pls post any WIP pics if you have any...

As it can be seen, the projector bolts on to the reflector bulb hole, and hence is super easy to align.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!
