    Recently, a friend of mine put HID on his R15 which was very impressive.
    But, when oncoming glare is strong, even HID did not help to see through.

    Anybody knows how to tackle this situation?
    I have put my HID plans on hold for this reason.

    I bought this Wega helmet with a blue visor...n it solved all the glare problems...but there are visibility issues while driving in pitch dark condition using stock lights...

        But this is more realistic in colour than the first:
        I did not see any second pic here. BTW, have you seen 3000k HID yourself? If they are really like halo, I might get them!

            the simple thing is DONT LOOK IN TO THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN THEY COME,JUST TRY TO LOOK ON THE ROAD.this one helps,
            and other thing is on the highways you need at least 2 light source the vehicle you are on.

            hids are good,its more efficient then halogens.one 35 watt hid bulb produces a bit more then 130 watt halogen which is mighty impressive ,the fact that bikes don't have too much power to spare (electrically).

            @abhi-
            as much i tested r 15 pumps 4.5 amps from 3k to 5k rpm then it increases to 7+amps .i seriously doubt if ridden less then 5 k rpm then there can be battery drain,as its low reserve.
            also 3k hid is yellower then halogen,just same as the yellow spot lamps or yellow street lights.
            see the pic,the left is hid 3000k right is halogen.

            standard 35w halogen on left, 35w 3000k HID on right:

                        contact ranjithmn for p220 projectors and you wont be able to fit an HID untill you get the dc conversion done... so if you want to go fo r hid first complete the dc conversion....

                            yes you can go for a projector without DC conversion as it has nothing to do with the electricals of the bike. bu then you will have to put in a halogen bulb which will not be a much use.

                            projector is just a different type of "reflector" which focusses you r beam and gives a cut off so that there is no glare to the oncoming traffic while HID is a type of bulb with very high intensity.... for the basics of projector and HID go to the "basics of HID and projector thread"
