You cannot change it directly from 35/35W to 55/60W,It needs a coil rewinding.More info will be provided by the gurus.

In polarized glass, you will not get the desired effect from a Xenon/HID
For these type of bulbs, you need to have a MFR headlight reflectors

              But there is one solution

New Ambassador/Gypsy cars has got MFR round headlight reflectors and it is 7 inch hence it can perfectly fit into your Bullet Headlight assembly.
Hence you will have to remove your current polarized glass of Bullet and replace it with a MFR reflector of Ambassador/Gypsy

After this, you can go for any bulb whether HID/Xenon/Philips xtreme power etc
you will get good lighting effect with this setup.
But MFR reflector is needed for good lighting hence I am insisting on these reflectors.

                - 2 pilot lamps of 4W each(4x2=8W)
                - 4 indicators of 10W each (4x10W=40W),
                - number plate lamp of 4W
                - 7 LEDs of 0.5W each in brake light assembly (0.5x7=3.5W)
So that comes to a total of 35+8+40+4+3.5= 91W
Now i am planning to go for ONB 55/60W bulb to replace the stock 35W. That means a bump of 25W max taking my grand total to 116W.

If i remove the pilots of 4W each, then i will be saving 8W. that brings my total down to 108W. And my coil produces 105W (owner manual spec). So there will be a difference of 3W. Now my Q is will these 3W create any problem? OF course the ONB's high beam wont glow with all its might but other than that any issues like inners of reflector melting?

Also ONB's H4 bulb will be a direct fit to my existing socket right?
Edit2:- apparently Shreeni and most others have replaced HS1 with H4 bulbs without any problems at all. But still if anything new has come up regarding dimension changes and all, do let me know

Another thing i wanted to know is are there any readymade LED indicators available in the market in 12V range? i primarily wanted to cut the 40W that my indicators use to atleast 20W. IF that is possible then the 3W difference wont matter right?
Edit2:- i just found out that RTR's 8 pole stator has 4 poles for AC lighting and 4 for batt charging. So technically even if i manage to reduce the indicator wattage, i wont be able to help the AC lighting system in any way.

And what is the cost of a PAIR of ONBs? Is it 800 per pair or 1600per pair?
Edit- never mind i found the approx onb prices from earlier posts. Its 1600 for a pair
Firstly u've mixed up with AC+DC load, indicators, brake are works on DC which have nothing to contribute to AC lighting if u go for any power saving. Replace the position lamps and licence plate lamp which runs on AC IIRC with 0.5W LEDs so that u can free almost 11W, I guess, thats the only thing u can compromise on AC side as others are using DC. So 35W stock+11W savings will be 46W. But if the manual says that it produces 106W (cumulative of lighting+Charging as for battery charging normal rates will be not more than 4A which is 48W, read that asumption) 106-48W=58W then it should support the low beam without the mods, so it should be fine with the mods for the high beam too. Have a try.. U've nothing to loose

HS1 is designed for two wheelers AFAIK, and the difference is only on the middle pin thickness which is not an issue for a H4 on a HS1, just a direct fit.

                      • Ok. Fitted the Bi-Xenon HID kit sent to me by Navnish today. No issues with the working whatsoever. I am facing a major problem though. I had to disconnect the speedo cable in order to fit the bulb along with the reflector in the headlight dome. Due to the length of the bulb, the reflector cannot be put back into its place along with the bi-xenon bulb in it with the speedo cable plugged in. Can anybody help me with that as I don't want to ride the bike without the speedo and the odo.
Also, can anyone give me an idea of how to adjust the beam on my RE C5?

But if i replace the stock pilots and numb plate lamps wit leds, wont they blow on AC? Leds require biasing right?

Yep, u need to either put a diode across the supply or connect it to battery. Also heard that there are LEDs that can be directly connected to AC system which has diode inside, not sure though. Have a try
