You have to understand a few things.Originally posted by B.N.abhijit View PostI what put hid in my 2005 cbz plz can somebody help me because i do night shift duty and my bike light is very very weak so plz plz help me plz guy somebody and i have put big battery from 12v 3.5amp to 12v 6amp but its not helping me so plz help me
Batteries are rated in volts and AH (ampere hours) so if its 12V 6AH it is supposed to provide a 12V 6 Ampere electric current for one hour or a 12V 1 Ampere current for six hours. So changing your battery alone is not going to help unless you install a more powerful headlight. And then you also have to determine if the stator coils have a matching output to recharge your battery in an acceptable time-frame.
If i were to draw an analogy, a 500 litre water tank and a 1000 litre water tank, perched at the same height and connected to exactly same taps with pipes that have the same thickness will provide water at the same rate. You want more water - change the tap, but make sure that the water tank is getting refilled at a rate equal to the rate at which water is flowing out.
My understanding of electricals is very basic (school stuff actually) but i guess i've driven home the point.

No need to feel sorry about that mate. I'm sure you know a hundred and one things that I know nothing about. Anyway, the idea was to generate an interest in you about bike electricals and not to point out mistakes.Originally posted by B.N.abhijit View Post
Sorry for tell ah into amp so
what to do about my bike head light now
Now about your headlight...you can do a number of things depending on your budget and what suits your driving style, number of hours driving at night etc. Some of the things that I may suggest:-
1. Check the state of your reflector. Does it require replacing? was the light good when the bike was new?
2. Check the rating of your headlight bulb. If its 35W i guess you can safely upgrade to a 55W one without damaging the reflector. And then there are certain bulbs that claim to produce more light - ask around and you'll get to know. But don't go solely by what the seller/mechanic tells you. Ask people who are actually using it.
3. There are other things that you could do but i guess if I get technical, I might lose your interest. For instance - converting your electricals to full DC (I don't know what system your bike uses) or you could get your stator coils re-wound with a thicker gauge wire.
I would advise you to seek the advice of a knowledgeable friend who can have a look at your bike and suggest the best option. Thereafter, find a good bike electrician and get the needful done.

I have had talk with Prob biker guys, they as of now don't give any warranty, even after 7 days, this is what I was told...Originally posted by patel.tarun4328 View PostGo and have a talk with the Pro-Biker guys at M.G. Road, opposite aurora towers. They install HID headlamps with 1 year replacement-at-your-home warranty in case the bulb fuses or any other problem occurs. I think they would be able to solve all your queries.

Wow, no doubt its the first thing to check out, unfortunately 90% of the queries are before this checkOriginally posted by rookieraj View Post1. Check the state of your reflector. Does it require replacing? was the light good when the bike was new?
A thorough cleaning of inside bowl including reflector and inside lens portion with a ball of surgical cotton will make a difference on a older HL assy.

there's a glitch if u plonk 55W halo to a stock 35W circuit without any mods ie; it wont glow to its full brightness and effectively less visibility than the current stock setup especially low rpms which is not good for taking turns and up-shifting of gears.
Being with a Honda breed, u r left alone with very few options other than RR swap or full DC conv.
If u don't want to fiddle with wires for moding, I would suggest to for for better quality stock rated bulbs from Philips (Germany). And, think of where u can save/sacrifice the loads like console bulbs on the fuel gauge, trip meter, tacho etc. which will add some more juice to the HL perfo. PLS DON'T save energy by sacrificing the tail light which can contribute 5W due to safety reasons.Do it Yourself, what so ever, if Possible

@sajjt
I see you have done extensive DIY on your pulsar.
Can you please elaborate on problems you faced afterwards? I have Pulsar 180 UG4, and I need better lighting mostly with purpose of touring during night.
Can you suggest some pointers on where to get HID with projectors. etc, things to be taken care of while getting it done by mechanic.

as of now I don't've any issues. U need to be careful in splicing of wires for routing, tapping etc. else it may be a pain to find out which one is creating issues.
Mine was non BCU model, so for me no smart box cheats were required, but its very easy like mentioned in the earlier posts. UG4 is full DC so its very straight forward mod than converting to full DC and installation of projectors. U need to open the HL assy and have to do some trials to get the best alignment for the best possible spread. Once u start doing this u'll come to know of what I meant by proper aligning. Do the alignments before fixing the outer glass so that u don't have to pry it out each and every alignment. Keep the bike on center stand, keep steady the handle, fix the projector+HL assy on the bike and then do the alignment.Do it Yourself, what so ever, if Possible

Has anyone converted an old 2-stroke (I have a TVS-Suzuki Samurai) to full DC with HID and projectors ?
I had the most scary experience yesterday midnight riding around 30km in rain covered roads that were absolutely dark. B@stards (that is the only term I can use here) driving cars from the opposite side had absolutely no considerations for a biker and their lights almost totally blinded me. I honked non-stop in a 7 kilometer stretch to ensure that I warn people on the road that I'm approaching (since I could see nothing at all).
I am hoping to get something close to the legendary night-time ridability of Bajaj Pulsar 220F. So I think I'll need a couple of 55w HIDs, projectors, possibly a new glass and a new reflector (unless existing ones can be completely cleaned), rewiring of stator coils and a new battery. Any reliable place in Bangalore where I can get ALL of this done ? I don't have much free time or the tools required for going DIY. I'm trying to get all the above done for as less a budget as possible, but I need really good night time visibility (its a matter of safety here) as well as enough bargaining power when I flash my high beam at oncoming cars with high beams so that they're forced to lower their high beams.
And one more question: In an year's time, if I choose to upgrade to another bike, can components bought and fit into this bike be reused as-is ?Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.

FZ headlamp
Hello there I have been using a regular Philips H4 halogen bulb with 55/60 watts rating with the original Headlight dome, reflector & all for last 2 & half years without any adverse effect . Only you have to flatten 2 metal pieces of 1 mm on the bulb flange with the help of the pliers & nothing else. And you don`t have to change anything except the bulb.
Before trying any other HID kits do give this a try.
To be on safer side whenever you switch off the engine with the kill switch, remember to switch off the headlight also, like at the signal, parking lamp is no issue.
It really gives very good light & costs only 170/-
Additionally you can use any H4 bulb upto 55/60 rating with a little bit of above mentioned caution.
Happy Night Motoring.
