Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
^^ then you have 2 options HID in the reflector or a projector set up, some projectors are crap if you can get a morimoto mini h1 with a good bulb maybe cnlight and a hyluxtec ballast it shouldn't cost too much. There's also a few guys selling Hella projectors, not sure if they are original or slynese copies, so beware of this.Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Disclaimer: I dont have a bike. But I will be purchasing one.

I can vouch fully for the MoriMoto mini H1. I have read far and wide and pixel peeped through tens of images if not hundreds over my obsession with good lighting. Of all projectors that have any name at all, there is nothing that I know of that offers the balance of price-performance of these. There is a guy here ( VijayAlluru ) who has a spare one, you may contact him.
It takes H4 bulbs but I believe it comes with adapters for H1 and H7.
Dont buy any raubbish projector and fit it into your bike because its a PROJECTOR. Creating a good projector is an art and science. One cant simply slap together half-assed reflectors and a lens and expect it to be good. Thats what most of these cheap projectors are IMO.
PS: The Morimoto mini H1 is designed for Left-Hand drives and therefore sprays light to the right, which the wrong side for India. You either want to open it up and fix it yourself with a coke tin shield or get something thats made for Right Hand countries. I dont know if the H1 comes in that variety.Last edited by pranav0091; 06-29-2014, 02:52 PM.

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
The mini h1 is very much available with a RHD cut off shield and takes an H1 bulb, the idea is that you can see the road signs on the left, however most projectors are sold with a DOT (USA?) cutoff, which doesn't illuminate the signs on the left of the road as well as the European ECE cutoff, which has a higher step.Originally posted by pranav0091 View PostDisclaimer: I dont have a bike. Do you know if these are sold through proper channels in India. Or is Ebay + international shipping my only choice ?Originally posted by stefanm View PostThe mini h1 is very much available with a RHD cut off shield and takes an H1 bulb, the idea is that you can see the road signs on the left, however most projectors are sold with a DOT (USA?) cutoff, which doesn't illuminate the signs on the left of the road as well as the European ECE cutoff, which has a higher step.

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Hey can anyone temme if it's possible to upgrade the battery on my Duke 200? I've put a custom headlight which has a dual headlight structure
But the stock battery can't handle both the lights (55/60W) turning on at the same time, so I gotta use one for low beam and one for high beam....
So can I upgrade the battery to a mire powerful one? Does anyone have an idea which one would fit and what else would I need to look into?

Worried about finding right HID Conversion kit for YZF R15 Ver. 2
Hello pals,
I am worried about finding correct HID conversion kit for my bike. My stock lamps doesn't seem to be of any help while driving on highways during night.
I have found one source named TRS ( The Retrofit Source ) based in America but the cost of the kit suitable for my bike goes upto INR.24k!! It would be my last option if I don't get a trusted and affordable option in Mumbai or Pune.
The one I've shortlisted from TRS contain:
A pair of:
- 3000K HID bulbs,
- Bi-Xenon Projectors
- Wire Harness
- Shrouds
- LED Rings
- Glue to assemble back the head lamp encasing
- 6" LED strips
As dollar rate is pretty high, cost for this package comes to around INR 24K.!!
Can any one guide me with a better solution or should I go forward with my listed option?
Best Regards,
~Rishi..
