  • HID for the CB Dazzler

Hi everybody, can you help me as to how to go about fitting an HID (hate the lights, i wear specs) on my new two day old CB Dazzler given that it has a 12V-4 amp battery, wonder to do it so that it doesn't strain it. Or better still is there any way to upgrade the electrical later(il do it after the warranty period), plz help this poor soul.

Got myself a pair of DLAA H3/55w (450 bucks) dome shaped fog lamps strictly to be used in hill/plain fogs and heavy rains. I am going to mount this low on the crash guard by technicians. I am hoping my 12V/14Amp system will handle it. By looking at guys who have done it already I feel confident. I know this is cheap stuff, but after testing the light I was satisfied. I also got spare bulb. Once I fit this Ill take snaps and post here.

        Ride safe Pals!
Here are the pics. I went to Koti after 3 years. Last time I went to Koti was to fix Roots Horns on my Unicorn. Well, It took me a while to find this place and finally I found it.

I hope you like the pics. It was already late so I clicked only little pics. The lights are awesome and as said, they are meant to be used in hills or heavy rains.

To use the lights wisely I have made 2 arrangements. One 2 way switch so I can turn on one lamp at a time, and I can choose which lamp. One Pull switch to burn 2 lamps at extreme conditions (LEH)

              I said OEM replacement.
That means LED's with bulb holder type back.

@chris_terror - I fixed a HID for my friends Dazzler just 2 days back. Though it runs on AC/DC electricals, the coil is much bettered than the original Unicorn. Only thing you should make sure is to maintain above 3000rpm most of the time. If you ride in strict Bumper2Bumper traffic then your battery will fry !!

@chamu_666 - Contact Navnish. He supplies good HID's and he can guide where to get it fixed also!

              • Guys , was a out for the entire week. just got back to bangy.

I have a new update Instead of buying external fogs and doing all circus .Going for a led solution makes sense. I got a LED lamp for testing and it is pretty impressive . I got a 8 led Lamp (24w) which gives out 1600LM of light ( the company from whom i got it says its 1800 LM ) . For touring it will be a really good solution . This is still not a head light replacement but i usually like light to be at 10ft from the bike so that visibility of the road is good . Will post more details later . Check the pic out . The lamp is expensive but its worth it

@shrini can you ping me when your free. I wanted to check out your bike. Got to see the zmr closely to guide a friend for some mods.

@guys who are looking for hids . Please ping me . I was out the entire week. so couldnt reply the pms / emails.

Hi i know where you can get these HID's for 1200 bucks at JC road, do keep in mind that they are the Chinese variety. They generally dont come under warranty, but the HID ballast is serviceable within 300 Rs. also the bulb incase it goes is not very expensive. PM me for details.

                    • Recently when riding i was shifting from high beam to low beam on my HID's and after sometime i noticed that the low beam halogen bulb was not working, can anyone direct me towards what the problem could be, will i have to change the bulb itself?

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

4300k 35w HID will be the best option.

can i install the hid without and changes to the electrical system? and how much will it cost? i guess hid is a better option than fitting in a bigger bulb ryt?
