Buddy , the bulb you are mentioning is available in only 60/55W rating wher as your stock bulb is of 35/35W.
if you fit a 60/55W bulb, even though the bulb is a direct fit it will not glow to its full illusion and will consume lot of battery
for this conversion you will have to fit a added relay in a circuit to use this bulb comfortably or PM me for details!

Many FZ owners have used it directly without any changes in the stock battery. Other FZ owners who have used it, can shed some more light on it.

Yeah, please do explain a little more about the relay. I heard about the requirement for a relay too if you're putting in a 60/55w bulb in the FZ.

What does it do and how much does it cost? I think its something to do with amplifying 35watt to 55watt to power the bulb, but I'm not sure how that even makes sense.

for 55/60 watts bulb in fz you do not need to make any changes. It would work properly.
Many fz owners are using without relay. Even my friend is using a 55/60watts bulb.

Yeah I know it works, just plug and play, but apparently it doesn't work with full potential without a relay. That's what my doubt is.

it will work can't say about the how much brightness without relay

better is to use relay it would also save stock switches as they must be designed for 35 watts load

Do I have to use a relay when upgrading to 55/60 w halogen in my RTR 180 ac?

55/60 watts in ac relay not required. But lighting coil and rr upgrade would be required.

"My RTR Fi had no issues during my long ride. For a quick upgrade, I will suggest that u remove the pilots, number plate bulbs and fix a 55/60 as headlamp. I did this for my Leh trip. No issues except that all the power from coil wud be used for the bulb and the battery wud be a bit weak after prolonged riding(4 - 5 hours). It will charge at day running though. With the amazing reflectors on the RTR u will love it"
                    -quoted from many pages back....
Hope that works!Any thing else I need to know when going for this mod?
I am thinking of getting maruthi ominy reflector in a classic pulsar round dome? Some kind of clips are needed for fitting ..any ideas?

45 days !! isn't it too much.. HID on 220 is very easy as it already has a DC setup.

1)Apache stock reflector..I hear it is best in class
2)Pulsar classic dome with ambassador reflectors
                        3)Omini or tata ace?
i think omni headlights are sealed beam type.

If ur trying to purchase night breakers for more illumination I would not recommend it

I'm using it on my duke
And the low beam spread is marginally better than stock and the high beam is same as stock

I purchased a pair , they come in single also
                                Costed 600 for single bulb

And overall I didn't feel satisfied spending that much for the bulb with very marginal difference except in low beam

I'm thinking to add a relay and use Philips rally bulbs of 90/110w

                                Which cost only 200 rs
                                a bulb

Anyone using them on bikes ?
I'm using them on my car
And they do wonders compared to my stock 60/55w halonix bulb

If I use the same rally bulb on my duke
Will the reflector be able to withstand the excess heat ?
