the main stand skill you are talking about is what lacks in me.Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostYou know its not about Weight its skill one should master while keeping bike on main stand
its all about correct/more technique & less power
But trust me just test ride first then decide or make your mind very clear about what type of Ride he want & expectation...
There are members who are happy with Kawasaki Ninja 250R & CBR 250, Done leh & Spiti...
There are people who has done Leh on Pulsar 135ls & On Platina
There are members who has been there on Leh with P220, apache & Fazer's...
and there is a guy (Legend) done Leh on Chetak
SO What you think now ? Just make your mind clear first what is your love ...else depends on you & Only
YOU
i do love to test drive all, but i think ma so calld not-so-good driving will make the showroom guyz angry .ma adrenaline pumps when i accelerate !

i do love to test drive all, but i think ma so calld not-so-good driving will make the showroom guyz angry .Frankly speaking!!! Pulsar 200 NS is fantastic bike but I would not recommend to myself, it wont suits me, yes i can ride solo comfortably but again it will look like Bike riding me instead of me riding bike... and main stand issue is nobody born with skill but you have to practice Don't laugh initially I failed to main stand on Boxer too :P after that when i got Fiero it become daily job with eye close.Originally posted by abingk View Postfeels so good after reading this

No, If you have Licence you can test ride just take off from Main Stand Ride Sanely, do not cross 30-40km/h & just observe the behavior of bike & dont make it fall ...
If you are not comfortable with test ride just read reviews & see what attracts you .....

i will practice that skill on my current boxer
i will try to test drive all.
then , a small doubt .is pulsar 150 is good if iam not going to use more than 2 years and dont care about resale value ?
personally i love fzs and p150 more . p135 was just in the list because of light weight and mileage.ma adrenaline pumps when i accelerate !

2 Years that's short span & that too not to care about resale value,Originally posted by abingk View Postso it was a good decision that i didnt loved 200ns

Second part suits with me too, I own Beast 180 ABS Peral White...
And p150 ahem ahem ... why 150 when you can get 180 ?
all pulsar models are reliable but orthodox yet in FZ & Apache you get variety & different then other feel on the streets... pulsar 150/180 reliable & smooth engine to be used for Comfort & limited power "remember not to race" kind a feature....
Where as new rider you have to look for Comfort, braking, handling & Engine power .... FZ suits best .. other option Apache but you are not concern of it
If p150 then why not FZ ? ? ?

If only Mileage is your concern then why not Discover or Platina ? ? ?Originally posted by abingk View Postsimple , mileage !
And all the other things like Handling & Comfort level of FZ will go vain only coz of Mileage ?

i too just started riding the geared two wheelers 16 months back and chose the FZ as my first bike.
the new FZ is tuned for better FE.
follow the recommended run-in and im sure you will get proper FE and will enjoy the fun drive the FZ offers for years to come.
most of my rides are in the town and i do occasional 125kms rides and take a short brake at half way point.
dint feel stressed for me or the bike. Our bikes can go from 0 - Stupid in less than "I wonder if this will be a good idea"

Yes ride with different style will decide the mileage!!Originally posted by abingk View Posti do know about the perfomance of fz/s but the mileage is difernt for diferent people .thats what freakz me out/
NS200 is also a good bike, it has all new techs and features! It's a tall bike, get a TD, NS200 is awesome then FZ too. If you can afford 1L bike then surely go for it. You already have an experience of riding splendour so riding anything big won't be a problem.

But yes first do the TD, weight of a bike matters only till it's still, else weight is no where while handling in motion. It has great frames, power speed and can corner also.
Your heoght is 5.6" so it won't be a problem anywhere
.
Main Stand is very simple, it has a tech to do it. only stand on the outpurge lever of stand and bike stands on main stand automatically...same is with the RE also. So it should be a problem...

As far as your built is concern, you would look good on NS200. with jackets etc.. NS is not that huge that you will look like a peanut!!
Go give a try!! NS200 is above FZ in all aspects!! from top to down, buying something good is not a problem ever...You are prone to speed and cornering urges!!, So it's NS200 if you can afford 1L, else FZ!! NS200 is the new Sheriff today in city!! Mind it!!
