Should I go over bajaj and buy this bull. Or leave it. As the one which I am riding at the moment is giving the peace of biking from my last set of purchase. - This alone warrants you to keep riding your current ride.
The Avenger is a low maintenance bike which gives cruiser experience at a reasonable budget. The Classic is NOT a cruiser by any standard, it is a retro street bike. And if you do get the 350, apart from the torquey nature of the motor and the low range punch of it, you wouldn't be upgrading in every aspect form your current ride. Performance would be similar.

I have been keeping a good eyes on the thread of classic 350 but as this thread came up just wanted to put in some words for cross check yes or no.
My friends have classic which has been purchased along with me in January 2016. Well so far as they say they are very happy but when I ride there bikes I am not happy. Then why do you want to buy a bike which you are not happy to ride in the first place?? As there are few things that one's you keep ridding bikes you learn it or experience it a you ride. Like for instance one of my friend who has the bull his tappet was so loose that I could hear it clearly told him to but he says that It is normal. How can that sound be normal. - Believe me, it is normal. The tappets of the new gen UCE motor are hydrolic pushrods assisted which can't be "adjusted" like the older Cast iron Barrel ones. The Harleys use the same setup. Your friend has got used to the sound, like every other UCE motor rider.
I am a bit confused here please guide me as the booking here for a bike waiting period is 4 months. For a silver classic 350cc. Is it actually worth spending 1.75 lcs. The 350cc is close not that costly, if I am not wrong. The With rto and insurance. Please guide. Thanks
All in all, given your inputs (and processing the same in my limited intelligence), I strongly believe you should bypass getting a Bull. Though, it might just be me and you can differ to my opinion.

    - Regards, Achyut.

      Hello All!!!

I am really confused about what to buy? Classic 500 or TBTS 500? Since my old one was a TBTS 350( Stolen now). Now I have heard that 500 cc has a issue of the EFI. Is it true? I am only going for the 500 because of its extra punch. But if it's fuel injection is faulty then it's of no use. I will mainly use my motorcycle for city ride & occasionally touring.

What to do guys? I will book the motorcycle next month?

Go for what your heart says, don't look at all these issues people reporting.

I did the same and went for classic 500 squadron blue, just keep in mind that you have to keep the fuel tank above half so that the fuel pump motor may not get hot and give up.

Has the usual glitches associated with any recent Enfield(I'm getting problems with the alternator now). The acceleration is top notch , has the best brakes in any Enfield (I'm not sure about the Himalayan). Its a drag to ride it in the city , frequent gear changes and the heat dissipation isn't all that great, It'll make you sweat a river in traffic. But that said , I love it to shreds.

PS, Also own a UCE500 and I find it great for short distant city rides.

              Thanks,

I have done only 905 kms till now, getting something between 22-28 kms.

I do the tank full as soon as I see the first blink of low fuel indicator. I usually end up filling 12 liters of oil or sometimes 10

Low fuel indicator blips at how much fuel availbility?? Another thing I have read that adulterated fuel can harm the fuel pump. Is it true? Is the EFI system gives trouble?

                  Thanks,

Fuel pump only has a motor and a pump, so adulterated fuel can't harm the pump, but it can surely harm the engine and injector.

I am not sure about the fuel left before the indicator starts blinking, but made a habit of doing tank full as soon as it starts blinking. The idea is to keep the fuel pump submerged in fuel to keep the motor cool. Fuel act as a cooling agent for the fuel pump motor.

How would you compare it to a CBR 250? I Come from Japanese bikes so have no direct experience of RE problems or character traits as you may prefer to call them I have ridden the Himalayan and liked the brakes on it. The rear brake actually has feel unlike all others I have tried ( among Indian bikes).

                          Hi Team,

I am new to this site. First of I am huge fan REs and its my dream, however I am in a dilemma to buy c350 as my friends telling not to buy the C350 because of its high maintenance. Many of them told that we need to change the sprocket after 16K to 20K kms. And oil leakage and many issues. So I am little confused after spending so much for a two wheeler again there is a huge cost is involving.

                          Please give me suggestions.

                          Thanks,

Even a normal bike would need a chain set replacement at 20k kms, so I believe it's fine if RE classic needs a sprocket change in 15-20k kms.

I have recently got a SB500 and it's approx 900 kms run. So I am not that much experienced with RE but I have ridden my apache RTR some 85+k kms so I know chain set replacement and minor oil leakage/seepage is a normal thing.

Every bike, no matter from which company, will ask for regular maintenance and change of parts.

Like engine oil, brake shoe/pads, chain-sprocket, tyres etc are also considered to be consumables which meed to be changed after their life is over, preferably well before that. Some people change these as per the manual at 12k kms interval, others use them as long as they could.

Also there is nothing like 'I am speading over a Lakh on a bike and don't want to spend anything later'. Bikes are mechanical machines and their parts wear, always.

Now coming to oil leak issues, better search the Ownership thread, i don't have personal experience with Royal Enfield bikes.

                              Ride safe and have fun.

                                Hi all!!

I was planning to purchase a Classic 500 but when I test rode the bikes I noticed one common problem i.e. rear brake is too loose(test rode std 500, chrome 500). Since previously I owned a thunderbird I was not aware of this problem in the classic series. The showroom people told that they are test rides that's why they have problems. But upon researching here and other forums it is pretty clear that the rear brake getting loose is pretty common problem. So I am asking to you guys who own classic- Is this problem genuine? How to cope up with it? Is there any walk around?
