Ex.Showroom is 170000. On road would be 2lkhs plus.

Someone said it vibrates because of a bigger engine. God if a 350cc or 500cc bike vibrates that to when not even pushed to its limits. You are doing it wrong RE. The new continental gt is coming out with a 750cc engine. Ill pray to god that it dosent explode. As you are coming from Japanese bike you will be annoyed with vibes no doubts about that. But after spending 1.5lkhs on a motorcycle everyone will adjust or they have to adjust. About the himalaya ride you are planning. People have done ladakh trips on bajaj platina and splendor. So dont buy RE for the sole purpose of ladakh trips and its 2017 and RE is still stuck with baba ajam ke jamne ka technology. No fuel gauge, no trip meter, no tacho, no abs nothing at all. Whats the premium amount is all about then??? Legacy?? Feel?? sorry bro if i sound like a hater but one should not spend lakhs on these things. Think practical man. Ill strongly recommend you to test ride Bajaj Dominar 400. Thats the best bet in this 2lkh segment.
We value your opinion, and it is true to an extend. Two points I like to make here:
        - Royal Enfield is easily the most comfortable bike to ride in the segment. Argue all you will, but 500cc REs don't vibrate in it's cruise range, ie, 80-110. It's called a "thumper" for a reason. Dominar, with it's still plasticy feel, and Bajaj's reputation, might not appeal to the likes of an RE kinda guy.
        - Hopefully 750cc will have lesser vibration by means of counter-balancing achieved between the two pistons it will have. As a cafe racer, vibration should be kept minimum, which is true for the 535cc currently in existence.
You do notice that RE is still selling like hot cakes. Please take a test drive again, if you want. It's worth the price paid.
P.S. Do not take it to the actual RE service centres. Believe in yourself, and start maintaining your own bike, or depend on a good, skilled garage.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but this is an older model, probably a '94 or '89. Where did you get the photo from?

I really liked the Continental GT but then again vibes spoiled it. Lets hope the 750cc one will be better. Then people wont have to spend a fortune on Bonneville.

i Know this is a CI model but i was looking for that particular model if it was for UCE bike i would have gone to showroom and bought that. asked for one seller who had this bike he was asking 2 lakh for 1995 model it was too steep so idea of getting that bike is dropped for the time being booked a gun metal grey C350

                    Hi dylanizm

I've finally decided to go with RE only. I have another confusion now. whether to go for Classic 350 or Classic 500. I'll be going for the newer models, namely GunMetal Grey or Stealth Black. Could you answer my following queries?
                    1. I commute to my office (6-7 km one side, city riding) on my bike. Would 500 be an overkill for this ride? I've driven both and yes I agree that 500 has much greater torque and acceleration than the 350 (thats the reason I'm inclined towards the 500 model).
                    2. Is it worth paying extra 50K given that there are lot of chances of problems happening in the eFI system (mainly fuel pump issue)? How to avoid these issues?
                    3. Mileage? What would be the average mileage figures for both these models in city riding?
                    4. Vibrations? I currently commute at 70-80, its a 15 minutes ride. But for weekends I mostly go to Delhi, Gurgaon (I live in Noida). Would the vibrations be a problem at these speeds?

                    Thanks a lot in advance!

Common dilemma for the potential owner of RE as told earlier i have booked a gun metal grey but now i am also looking for DS5 and one thought would be hold until pricing of interceptor 650 is disclosed but considering bike would be used only in city mind says C350 would be enough but heart say go for DS5 or wait for interceptor. what to do?

Finally got the new gunmetal grey variant. I must say this bike looks extraordinary. I can feel the other bulleteers envying me because of the color .
It feels amazing to drive this bike especially after riding a 150cc bike for a long time.
Any tips for maintenance of engine and color?

                        Thanks!
