Oops! Sorry sorry... My bad... That's 22 kmpl only. and that's what I wanted to say in my previous reply. but by mishtike mentioned it as kmph.
But again that's TB 500. and average of 22 kmpl is fine for a 500 cc bull.

But CL500 has an average of 25kmpl to 32kmpl.Top of that one question: Does it worths paying 1.8-2.0L for TB500 which won't be having a straight line stability also. Won't cross a top speed of 130kmph??

What i expect people to do is, accept RE with it's CONS more than it's PROS, which will help to have a best relation ahead. becuase tomorrow on highway mere 150 or 220cc when ramps it to dust will hit the heart first of the rider!!

RE is best known for comfort, which means only in long trips.
RE is best known for Torque, which means only in hilly regions.

So still a question ? Why to buy a Cl500 or TB500, when there are more better options available in market!!

I think the average indicator on TB 500 (rather on any automotive) will show the average calculated on the basis of fuel consumption for that particular moment only and not as we calculate (reserve-to-reserve). Just like how strike rate in a match is calculated ball per ball.
Imagine our own Mr. WALL at the strike. He played his first 5 balls of the match in his usual style. Only tuk-tuk, no runs, not even a single. What is current strike rate ? 0. But fortunately, the last ball was a full toss one and he got the chance to throw it above the boundary line and hurray !! That's a SIX !! What is the strike rate now ? 100 !! So considering 3rd/4th ball's s/r won't show us the actual picture.
Just like that, figure shown on the average indicator will be the 'estimated' mileage throughput of the bike, which will be true only if the bike is ridden with the same pace on the same road conditions..... Which is not practical and so the indicator reading will be highly variable.

uummmm.... I guess, you got what I want to say and I've not messed it up... sorry, if I did...

Depends on the rider's mindset. I've seen many bullet lovers spending almost a lac or more for 70/80's CI model. Why someone not pay this amount for a brand new model with a way better/reliable engine !?
BTW, how many times do you cross 130 or even 120 ? Bull is not for rushing to the destination, it's there to enjoy the ride. You know that, don't you ?

+1000. As one accepts his love/gf/wife/mother/sister/baby/any relation with it's good and the bad.

Hell ! Who cares about that bro !? A bulleteer will never flatter himself for speed.
And BTW, will that so called 150/220 cc have that monsterous torque and the ability to pull a car up the hill.

RE is best known for comfort, which means only in long trips.
Isn't it required in city riding !!?

RE is best known for Torque, which means only in hilly regions.
Will you be able to utilise all the power of CBR/Ninja in the city !!? So will you say that those are for highways 'ONLY'...!!?

B'coz there no answer/explanation to the question "Why do you love me?" when you're in true love...

Still i don't understand what they think??, what runs behind their mind when they spend over lacs for RE!!

I would prefere to say , To know more CONS is better for RE, so you can be ready every moment!!

Very true!! But i doubt whether RE can pull it over hills ???

For city riding RE is too much!! There are many other options with better tech.

No not at all, if it's a city then no, but when it's a highway then other bikes has to beaware of it.

Thanks for that piece of information. This afternoon I called up our local RE dealer and inquire the same, and he confirmed that RE is going to launch a new version of TBTS 350cc. When? and at what price nobody seems to know the answer. This is confirmed, as some of the local RE mechanics have just come from a refresher course in how to repair this new TBTS engine. Second hand report also confirms and have seen the photo of it. RE have stop taking new bookings. The manager inform that new booking will be taken only after receiving intimation from RE main office. So, friends, let us wait and see. Oh by the way, let's hope it will this month before Puja holidays.

            • As i said in NEWs section, TB500 would be launched on 11th Oct 2012 in Mumbai and Pune first later subsequently it will be launched in all parts of India!! Currently People will have an option of switching their orders to TB500 from CL500 or TBTS models. And TB500 ex show price is close to 1.75-1.80L so OTR would be close to 1.95 or 2L.

Warranty is 1 yr or 10,000kms, i don't belive this but this is what i have got news of, isn't 10K less ?? it should have been close to 24K atleast!!

The other plant would be kicked in jan 2013 so the huge waiting period would be drop easily. New plant would be focusing on CL and TB500 mostly. But still we would be happy with less WP!!

New Version means TB500 or TBTS 350 ??
For TB500 ok we can understand as they don't want to lose the booking of TBTS. But why will you change the booking ?? You haven't received the bike yet and New version is about to launch so, You have to get the new version. Don't except the old version at all. Either cancel the booking do a police complain if he deducts the amount. It's on you when will you take your bike?? DOn't give them your documents for registrations then how will they register it??

My friend had booled his D-Zire in month of Dec, He had a waiting period of 4-5 months in march he got the new model, becuase new model was laucnhed in Feb itself!! Chill and fight for it.... if needed.

That is bang into CBR 250R ABS price territory. If I wanted to spend that much on a bike and if CBR never existed, I'd rather buy a Duke 200 and donate 50,000 to charity

                    No offence intended BTW...

10k kilometre warranty that too just for 1 year ? Warranty is a HUGE indicator of the confidence a company has in their product. This speaks a lot. Compared to this americans get 2 years unlimited mileage warranty on the C5.

If along with waiting period prices also get rationalized, it'd make loads of sense.

Even i think how can RE price at such price with nothing to offer apart from comfort.

RE won't improve ever!! It's ridiculous that RE prices the product at brim and people still buy!!

I can't believe a product like CL350 is priced around 1.3L and public is till buying with huge waiting period. After that people complain about quality of bike with bad tech and falling average every year!!
I love RE but if a 350cc can't be stable at 120kmph or can't cross 150kmph then it's waste of technology!!

                      Comment

                      • RE can afford to do whatever because there is absolutely no competition. avy, everything said and done doesn't fall in the same class. doesn't seem like bajaj will launch a new avy around the 200NS engine either. the best we can hope for is an avy around the 350 CC mill they will launch in 2013 but that too would be in the ~ 2 lakh bracket. needed something in the 1-1.25 L one.
if honda starts making the rebel here I would be the first to sign up for it.

No, you don't need to.... Aren't they ready to shift your booking to new one ??? It's absolutely possible then why are they asking to book AGAIN !!?

Re booking is not required, Fight and win, but don't buy the old version, if needed than mail to RE officials about this incident. BTW how much time it left for you to get your bike ?? But this doesn't matter, as you haven't taken the delivery!!
