Suggestion plz
Guys,
i have been longing to get my hands on RE for a very long time. Now the time has come as i am travelling 60kms daily and i thought RE would give me the comfort and pleasurable ride (as of now using Pulsar 150).
I have gone through a few bullets and will be visiting a few more in the coming weeks
1) I found a bullet of 1970 make with G2 engine and perfect working condition with original parts. The quoted price is around 90k. Will this be a good investment?
2) I have also came across bullets made after 1990 and some in 1980's. Should i got for a newer model i.e after 1990's or the 1980's model?
Remember this will be my first RE. Also nowadays the prices ranges from 65k to 1L
Kindly suggest, it would be of great helpProud Owner of Classic Chrome Black (Aug 2012) http://d2gt3es0c0q191.cloudfront.net.../001_smile.gif

This is absolute wrong decision my friend. You have only heard about RE and their fantesies... Old REs are for them who know RE in and out, the issues and pain it comes with to give a pleasure with divine!! This is what OLD RE fans speak!!
for a 60kms daily ride P220 or Karizma or ZMR or Avenger would be the best bet to go with!!
If you plan for a RE then it should be RE TBTS new model only, which would give you a comfort with mileage between 35-42kmpl.
Old RE would make you hate RE, which is the worst case can happen to RE's new model. Now RE has improved a lot from previous models and tech.
Choose wisely.
If comfort is the only requirement then above bike does wonders with good reliable tech and SVC. Even Impluse is best for comfort!!
In one month RE 350 Classic ??? are you from India ??Originally posted by Tejas.Gupta View PostFinally after waiting for a Month i got me Bull !

Yes. I am kind of leaning towards CI engine, to the extent i have experienced so far. But i am keeping my mind open for newer models as well..Originally posted by Rahul.Gvli View PostWhy second hand old models !? Are you a CI lover ? Want original 'bullet' characteristics ?? If not and if comfort is the only consideration, why don't you go for latest models available with more reliability than it's ancestors ???
I already have Pulsar 150cc and not inclined toward similar bike types as mentioned by you. I prefer RE, as i can still keep my Pulsar. I have already tried one of my friend TBTS and it was too big for me (i am lean n 5.7") however standard and electra seems to be proper fitOriginally posted by somen1984 View PostThis is absolute wrong decision my friend. In case if i go for newer model second hand RE, from which year i can choose from? I would love to have the thumping sound which i guess newer models seems to lack. I can manage without it as well.
Also which one to choose from, standard or electra? Might go for a test ride in one of the showroom this weekendLast edited by sbhas2k; 11-07-2012, 11:07 PM.Proud Owner of Classic Chrome Black (Aug 2012) http://d2gt3es0c0q191.cloudfront.net.../001_smile.gif

I am 5.5", enjoy TBTS/CL/Electra any RE not issues in handling or any thing. BTW Saddle seat of Electra or Std or TBTS are same, can any one correct me if I am wrong! I din't find any difference in these models height. Apart from CL.Originally posted by sbhas2k View PostI already have Pulsar 150cc and not inclined toward similar bike types as mentioned by you. If it's second hand then go for > 2010 models only as these are UCE engines with some rectified issues.Originally posted by sbhas2k View PostIn case if i go for newer model second hand RE, from which year i can choose from? My friends suggested the Black flicker 350. So I went with their choice. I just booked today. Expecting delivery time is 3 months said the sales guy. Boy oh boy! The machine look real mean and tough. It look bigger and sturdy than the previous TBTS 350. I am glad, I waited for 2 months before finalizing my thoughts toward it. Thanks again. However, could not test drive it.Originally posted by Rahul.Gvli View PostThanks for the kind words !
BTW which one are you going with ??

Never ever book your bike without a Test Ride !!! This can seriously spoil your future riding ahead!!Originally posted by adzeals View PostMy friends suggested the Black flicker 350. This was the same cases with many buyers, who buy on basis of internet review or friends suggestion, Listen to all but finalize it with your comfort and acceptance!!

Thanks for that gem of an advice. I'd already told the dealer, that if I decide to cancel the booking will they accept it. Yes, was their answer. So, I do have this advantage with me. I've been insisting for a test ride. Hopefully, by next week. At the moment their is only one model in the showroom.Originally posted by somen1984 View PostNever ever book your bike without a Test Ride !!! This can seriously spoil your future riding ahead!!
