What is the obsession with the sound? I mean I am an RE owner since 2006 and more than anything I would want my motorcycle to perform. The new Thunderbirds are much better REs than they have ever been, the sound should be the least of your concerns. Even Harleys have mellowed down a bit now. At the the end of the day, its the ride quality and performance of a motorcycle that keeps you happy. Sound is just a part of it.Last edited by Satellite.kid; 11-26-2012, 01:20 AM.The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

CBZ havning Thump?? am I missing something ??Originally posted by adzeals View PostGuys, had very a great disappointment with the new TB350 sound, Where is all the thump, the trade mark of RE is completely gone!!! I owned a CBZ classic, not to hurt anybody sentiments, my CBZ has got more thump than this new TB 350. Though I have booked the TB 350, will be thinking what to do with the thumping sound. Guys, any suggestion for modification with the silencer?
for thump you have go for trouble king CI engines. Current RE helps people buy it and enjoy more rather than complaining as compare to previous heritage.
Regarding silencer change there are some aftermarket available. google the sites.
RE mech from RE Brand showroom, suggest to change it after 5k kms. But many now a days get it fit right from 1st service. Previously heard about warranty issue before RE mech recommendations.Originally posted by Tejas.Gupta View PostMy Classic 350 is now 15 days old and i've done only 130Km's..
i want to change the silencer
How much should i wait and under what speed limits should i ride ?

Dear all
After a long thought i booked classic 350, but the waiting period is killing me.. Anyway, i got hold of classic chrome 500cc and absolute in love with it... Planning to change the booking to this one
Just a quick question... I am 5 feet 7 Inch and weigh 65kg. Will it be too difficult to handle bike of this sort ? or am i worrying unnecessarily ?
Hope i made the right decision regarding chrome

Yes. I did, but test ride is just a short while right. Loved both the bike, but 500cc has an amazing power delivery, considering that it would be a long term ride, i thought why not go for 500cc ..
Just want to know based on the previous experience of fellow bulleteers will 500cc classic will be a overkill for me? as said i m 65kg and 5 feet 7 inch..
Thanks in advance..Proud Owner of Classic Chrome Black (Aug 2012) http://d2gt3es0c0q191.cloudfront.net.../001_smile.gif

Classic 350 suits you if you live in city . And for daily use too.
If you are a frequent tourer 500 suits you.
If you are going to use it in traffic and daily use then 500 will be overkill.

@sbhas2k: Practically speaking, a 500cc Classic will not be an overkill in traffic if you live in a city like Delhi. Yes, it has very good torque but that doesn't mean it is an overkill. For any motorcycle that can be used atleast upto 50 percent of its performance potential is not an overkill. And you can utilize that much pretty easily of any bullet in Delhi at least. And all REs whether 350cc or 500cc are meant to be ridden in city traffic as much as on an open highway. Opinions can vary on this but this is how I feel. You can safely go for it if you want to.
Also, your weight and height do not matter as long as you know how to ride a bike properly..and that goes for many motorcycles across different segments
