And I also need mileage atleast 30+ in city driving. Whether tb350 is right choice or shall i move to tb500?

Which suits me in these two tb350 and tb500
I have been educating people over their need and choice!!
As your purpose is city riding, SO TBTS would be a problem for you to ride it in daily city traffic. TBTS handling is same like Avenger which takes lots of space to move here and there.
The better bet would have been Electra/CL/STD only. But as you have booked it already so from TB500 & TBTS, TBTS is good. If you don't mind the mileage then TB and TBTS won't make a difference in handling. Infact you will get better torque then 350. If you have a crush then it's better to buy a TB500, but it won't give you an average.

Try to switch to some better handling RE models for city, i.e Electra/STD/CL.

    • thanks for the suggestion guys!!! I need more mileage too atleast 30+ in city so by reading both of your comments i get tb350 is good.

Eventhough std, electra are good it doesnt suits me because i need a more sophsticated bullet.

I think i can handle tbts in city , i will learn to adopt.

I have one more query. Eventhough i have choice of switching I didnt and i am staying now with tb350

And the dealer is ready to deliver me tb350 by next month. And I am getting my bike from tirunelveli as registration has to be done here.

And I need to transport the bullet to chennai which is 800km from tirunelveli.

Which to choose as a transportation method?

      1) ride tb350 myself and go or
      2) putting it in train and tavel myself in train.

Whether driving new bullet so long at their first ride of 800km at 15hours will damage anything? or make the engine better?

Riding won't be a problem, but in train i guess it won't be allowed, as an individual the bike should be registered before transporting in trian, had heard this. get this confirm.

yes, must have registered and should have all the documents, should not have petrol more importantly to carry the bike in train.

Thanks, I had heard some years ago, when my friend was buying his CL350 from one rural city in Maharashtra.

TS will have fun riding his TBTS for 800kms!!

remember about the run-in procedures and try to stick to it by not riding in constant speed(rpm) for longer duration and dont exceed the suggested speed limit. Considering all these and your first service(500 kms), I think the ride will be hectic to you (not for the machine though). Think over all aspects buddy and congrats for your purchase.

                    +1

@Binoy Nair: Even check out the few RE SVC which would fall on your way when you would be close to 500kms. So that you get your 1st service done, this is important buddy!!

Are you intending on riding 800kms on a temporary reg number? I would advise you to check if its allowed to ride a bike for so many kms on a Temp number. If there is a problem then you might get harassed by the police.
I have been through the process of running in a bullet (a Classic 500) and I had a hard time limiting its speed on highways to those prescribed in the manual. And this was on a mere 200kms ride. I feel it would be a good idea to transport your bike.

Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."

I like- "Bikes are not supposed to be a rational decision. If you can park it and walk away without looking back to admire it, you got the wrong one."

Temp Reg numbers are valid for 48 hrs or for a week, please confirm !! And they are allowed all over india. But charged seperately to get this number. People bring their cars on temp numbers from different state. My uncle brought is New swift from delhi to kolkatta.

Guys, had very a great disappointment with the new TB350 sound, Where is all the thump, the trade mark of RE is completely gone!!! I owned a CBZ classic, not to hurt anybody sentiments, my CBZ has got more thump than this new TB 350. Though I have booked the TB 350, will be thinking what to do with the thumping sound. Guys, any suggestion for modification with the silencer?
