So guys is it a good decision to buy a RE now.. ?..
I don't understand why you are asking us whether to buy a bike when you have to wait for a Year??

Ok i say don't buy it even if you are getting it in 1 month...
    What crap question my friend??

Listen to your heart, not us, just think on our suggestions, Buying a bike is like carefully selecting a Wife for long term or reliable relationship, no matters with fights and quarrels...lol..

I am R15 owner booked CL350 in march mine is due by Dec 9 months, i happy with it, no problem, i will wait if i can get it in months. No one has any other options for CL350 to get it quickly.
Else buy a second hand, but people priced it as it's one week old.....crap!!

I would suggest if you are RE lover then Electra is far better then CL350. same engine and mileage too. Why to wait for CL350??
I am wiating because i am planing to shift by booking to TB500, but if it goes over 2L then surely not going for that.
For speed i have R15 or pleasure i will own a RE!!

      @somen dude i completely agree

@discover, i also own a CL500 and just bought FZ1. but the RE stays and you cannot compare sports bikes to REs. Its more like polygamy if you can afford two then by all means have them !!!

      • I am thinking of booking a RE.Any tips or things that needs to be considered before doing a booking
Can I claim any sort of discounts or offers in any form.Currently in Chennai Classic has its price as 1.28 lakh. And waiting period of 8 months
So is there any common frauds or cheating done by the dealers
If so what are that and how do I avoid them.
Also I am looking forward to clearing the confusion of choosing the C350 or TB 350.So I am thinking of getting a test tide.Any things before riding a bullet cause this is the first time I am going to do so.So pls help

I don't think so that you will get any discount, because discounts are offered on those products which needs sales or needs to get rid off!! And RE any product is not, all are in Damm Demand!!

Think again over CL, because CL has waiting period close to a yr and pillion seat is not friendly!!
TBTS is good but not for city at all.

          • Advice on old ci electra

I have been bitten by bullet bug for last 2 yrs. Finally decided i would go for a second hand 2002+ electra 4s(cant arrange 1.25l being a student, moreover waiting time is too much to bear).
I need sincere advice from bullet owners whether i should go for it or wait in future to get a new one.
Only thing bothering me is the maintenance part. I do love bikes but cant spend more than 1k monthly on maintaining.Currently i own a pulsar 200which i would sell to buy bull.
            Please advice me

Here in Punjab Tbts is readily available i got mine in one day classic 350 is readily available few 500 were there in the showroom.Nothing special to be done during booking classic 350 and TBTS has tthe same price of 1.28-1.30 lacs here as well .I would like to add one more thing Tbts is best machine for highway extremely comfortable and mine is so far trouble free No leaks nothing.Done close to 1000 km running 55/60 night breaker headlight and self start is running perfect i have used kick only for 5-6 times that too just to practise it .Changed rear tire and rim to 18 inch with meteor 100-90-18 for my upcoming leh ride front one to 90-90-19 from the classic series .I never liked RE bikes due to old tech and generator type feeling i bought this only from suggestion from a friend but is extremely happy with the product.
But Normal service costs 950 rs and that too without labour .this machine is good for city but not cant match agility and sharpness of other bikes like honda etc cant say much about classic series because i dont like their looks .

Bad Idea !! as you are new to RE so i guess you don't know that RE before UCE is pathetic!! To accept RE with open arms you need to be working, becuase pre UCE they use to be very unreliable and Thumpy with real RE felling.

Don't even think for it, If you can wait and go for new one than that's more better, Else go for some second hand UCE RE after 2008 june models.

I see your P200 is more better choice than RE!!
I guess you should stay away from RE fantasy, because RE always gives a bad maintenance anytime, as you are a student, s maintaining it won't be in your budget. infact RE UCE is more reliable but you never know that RE demands only Rs 1K?? With petrol it will be around 3K monthly. Re will give you an average of 35-40kmpl in city so mind it!!

Super Kool!! Readily available, here in mumbai a person has to wait for 1 yr for CL, 3-4 months for electra, 6-8months for TBTS and CL500, 1-2 months for standard.

I agree with Somen that if some one needs to own RE he or she should be working or willing to spend dad's money. Its not cheap as i told free service cost 950 rs which i was shocked in this 750 is only for oil which is around 350/ltr .I also have heard lot of horror stories about RE customers over different forums but Mine is so far very good. even one of my friend who got second hand TBTS 2011 model for 80000 is very much happy apart from a self starter problem which was there when the bike was new
he got that changed for 3200 rs and is running gud now.Never ever go for second hand RE before 2011 model because there are lot of modification in 2011 model like sprag clutch, starterr motor , speedo meter and tacho meter mod, buying pre 2011 model may put you in trouble.

hmm... 350kms monthly is pretty less, but why pre 2009-2010-2011 model??
If you want then go for 2010 models atleast, and being a student you should literally stay away from RE, i don't understand P200 has macho looks and style why the hell you want to sell that for a second hand RE?? RE is good then better, when it's bad then it's best!! you won't be able to give time and expense what it requires if needed. Now mostly all new UCE engines are good and maintenance less to some extend, but you never know when RE takes you for a round.

Still a NO from me for pre 2010 models, as you are a student.

                      • I would also suggest to go with RE only if you have deep pockets and time to kill and play with your machine .Pre 2010 models is Big no and i would prefer atleast 2011 model or a new one. But touch wood mine is so far fiil it shut it bike.

I suggest that you dont sell your P220 and buy RE that you are interested in. But you will love it more when you buy it yourself Old bullets can be kept as a secondary bike that you can take out on week ends cruise for fun. But running it everyday might become expensive.

                          • Guys sorry that its off topic,
I have booked a RE CL 350 and waiting for it hopeless for 8 months.I had taken a test drive I liked everything about the bike(looks, style, power, handling, feel) but was shocked to see that there is no fuel gauge in the bike
Now my question is how will one check the fuel????
Now what people will open their tank and check with a scale or something seriously cause I feel it makes no sense in 2012.Now how am I supposed to check the fuel???Gurus and RE CL350 owners pl help

                            • We (Bulletters) use the Reserve knob to gauge when the tank is empty. Bullets have approx 2litres of Petrol in the "Reserve" position. So the moment you ride goes to Reserve from the "on" position, head out to the nearest petrol bunk.
