any other possible way of getting this problem solved!!
Its how I know when to fill up on my Samurai as well

Its reliable yes. But you cannot see when tank is half empty, or any other value in-between. It only tells you when you touch reserve zone.

Alternate solution: Google for Royal Enfield Radon. Its an aftermarket replacement console with all modern gadgetry needed in EVERY bike above 75k (except arrogant RE outlook that only recently changed with TB500) specially designed for RE bikes. Costs ~6k.
Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.

You can find one in the www.royalenfieldzone.com.....YOu can send an enquiry...But do you think digital speedometer will add the looks,I feel it will spoil that vintage looks....Can we get any analog (traditional) gauge

            • Hello everyone.
Iam planning to buy a new RE 350cc and i wanted to know if it would be a bad idea as my height is just 5.4" and weigh around 63 kilos.I've been using a honda stunner for the past 4 years and ride bikes such as pulsar, apache,fz pretty comfortably.
I recently rode a bullet 350cc which was a 2000 model and i could touch both feet on the ground(much more easily than my stunner) but found it quite heavy and i admit i was reluctant to speed up.Will i find the weight a problem or do people get used to it? Iam not sure of getting to ride that bike again since it was in my native and i wont be going back for a while.I'd love to see some inputs from much more experienced guys out here while i try getting my hands on another RE for a ride.

              • Buddy,
Don't worry about the weight during the riding times. You won't even feel a bit of it.In fact you will be very stable and your handling will also be awesome..
But yeah city riding and while parking you will have problems!!!
But you will easily grow over it within some time..
Though I am not a very experencied Rider yet (have ridden during the test ride and also I have ridden RE CL 500 of my friend for quite some time)
I have also booked the CL350,the biggest problem will be waiting period which is over 8-9 months!!!!

                  Hi Insanity,

I too was a little worried while buying the bullet. In fact I am slightly lower than 5'4".
Do not worry about the weight at all. In fact you will feel more stable on bullet than any other sports bikes. You just need to be careful while applying breaks though.

I can confidentally tell you now that you need NOT worry. I have ridden by Bullet (STD 350 UCE) for over 8000 km, over a period of around 20 months.

I have got the seat modified a little, and have got the foam removed by around 1 inch. With the new setup, I feel that the handling has improved even further - With the CG slightly lowered.

All in all, I would say - go ahead and buy the bull - you won't regret it.

                  Happy Friday!!!

                  Cheers!
                  Anand

I am thinking how come you weren't able to put your feet ground????
I guess Stunner's height is more than RE 350 electra or same to TBTS.
Then din't you were able to touch the ground, where as you are comfortable with Stunner!!!
If you like RE then actually it won't cause you a problem, I see many 5.0-5.7 ft people riding RE, acutally i see very rare 6+ft riding RE.
Weight will be controlled with the motion of the bike, don't worry on that part, you don't have to caryy on you...he he...
Just twist your wrist and RE will act on your directions.

                    Go with Electra 350!! it's best !!

It depends on what type of ride you prefer. TBTS is the best for cruising among the 350cc s . Electra has an upright position and its a bit more comfortable than CL 350.

When off roading is a criteria, then strickly Electra or STD.
TB is nice on highway crusing....but not that good in city handling or offroading!!

Congratulations dude, welcome to the brotherhood. Firstly, I would suggest to familiarize yourself with the bike before going all-out for riding gear. Yes, safety is an important aspect that we always promote. Most safety gears require breaking-in and the break-in period can get a bit uncomfortable; couple it with your new ride and the process of getting to know it - the combination doesn't feel smooth. Know your bike first, understand your needs, don't directly go by "my budget i,s Rs.xxxx, please suggest me a riding gear".

My views entirely. Others might differ.

                              Happy riding and safe riding
