1 time when i was 16
i was returning from the tuition,triple riding,got caught, had to pay 300
and except that,most of the times i never got caught in the police laid traps,i was the MOSTWANTED in gujarat

and now i have all the documents
i am a sane rider now!

Was booked for nearly 4 to 5 times. but didnt pay anything

caught 3 times, paid 50 bucks each and thats it...
but i gotta tell u, out of those three, once, it was damn rickshaw wala's fault...curse him dammit....and the rest two were for not wearing helmet and not having mirror...i still don't have mirror on my comet lol

once had to pay rs50. been caught many times but never paid bribe i will just wait till he lets me go.. always works.

In my home town the cops had a bad habit of challaning youngester with rs 300 and others with rs 100

Challaned for not having a drivers licence twice.(I got my new bike at 17).
Challaned for not having a helmet(This incident happened in less than a half kilometer from my home).
challaned for parking the bike in the road causing difficulty to on coming vehicles.


Once I forgot my driving license and stopped by the police. Dad was the pillion then i saw a lot of guys standing aside (age between 18-25 approx).The SI was standing near the Geep.I gave the papers to my dad and asked him to be confident and approach the SI. By seeing my dad he asked "ellam undallo allee?"(weather everything is present) and dad said "yes".We were free to roam again.



All the time when i was challaned,I was with in 5km from my home.

Yesterday I was caught by a cop for entering a one way lane from opposite side. I hardly moved 2-3 meters in opposite side and was stopped. Dramatic part was that he took the keys from my bike. It was kind of offensive.
I told him to return my keys before any further conversation. After he returned the keys he asked for papers and I showed him. Than I came to know that I was riding in opposite direction of one way road. I told him that I was not aware of that and I am ready to pay the challan. He was kind of surprised. He asked me for the money but I told him to pay only when I get the receipt saying so. No wonder he didn't have any receipt or anything. He told that I ll have to go to Police Station for the receipt. I denied and asked him to get the receipt as it was not my headache . He threatened that I ll have to pay 600(double of what he initially asked) and appear in a Court. I was like . I laughed at his face and said there no such thing. He went ahead and called his senior and asked me to wait. I nodded and said go ahead. He kept me waiting and asked about my whereabouts and profession. Meanwhile I started getting dressed up with my Jacket and Gloves (I was not wearing initially as I had to go to many shops in that locality). He was kind of surprised again that I was wearing Helmet, Jacket and Gloves in a locality where people hardly care to wear a Helmet.
After another 5 minutes he let me go without a question. I was surprised and I left from that place.

I had a trip to Goa this year and we hired 5 bikes locally, the first day I was wearing helmet all the time and my friends didnt wear it and eventually we got stopped by Traffic police and they havent fined any of my friends and they just checked for DUI. My friends were teasing me all day..
Then the next day I thought Helmets not required in Goa and I havent wore it. But then the cops caught me in a highway and charged all of us 100 bucks each..explaining that Helmets are mandatory only in Highway..Man I was kickin myself lol..it was such a funny day.

Cops giving us challans

Got caught 3 times. But paid 100 once & went. Was caught driving on the opposite lane.

caught by police on check post for not having pollution certificate. They were submitting my DL in court, had to pay bribe of 100 INR to that idiot constable.

just after that i went to a petrol pump and got my pollution certificate.

Paid hundred again. They sent a notice to my home & i was like WTF.

Been challaned a few times mostly in no entry zones where goddamn roadsigns are placed so obscurely. Once for no helmet though I had it in hand. Have greased police palms a couple of times. Ive also been let off a couple of times on sincere requests.

Missed being caught for signal jumping a few times. Once, I jumped signal at a highway junction, but to my horror, found a cop ready to knock me off the road just ahead.....to escape him, went wide to the right knowing no other vehicle was behind me...but cop was ready to chase me down...even alerting the ones further ahead on his radio. I sped fast, stayed to the right side, moved parallel to lorries and big vehicles to avoid being spotted and few metres before the next signal, took a service road detour off the highway....YASCAPE!! I never looked back during that time, so the chase might have all been in my head. To my good luck, bike ran out of petrol just a few kms after all this.....had it gone dry during it, I might have faced multiple charges and maybe some jailtime for pissing off the cop.

Got one in mail today....no entry again.

Paid 300 bucks recently for parking in a no parking zone at S.P. Road. They took my bike & went to a ground. Had to walk till there. I dint knew that the place was a no parking zone (Lack of a board).

A Great Escape

This Happened to me yesterday,

Was Out with team for lunch.. parked my bike out properly in parking.

but it was next to the parking line drawn on the ground.

The restaurant was on 7 th floor

After Lunch when i came back the bike was not there. And there was some drag marks on the parking area where i parked it.

I went to the nearest station and saw my bike there.

Asked them the reason to take my bike they said it was on footpath

The cops where not in dress and suddenly the pickup vehicle came back and there was no cop in it...all the pick up guys will go and take the bikes. .....they will drag the bikes they want without any cop in the 407 truck...

I told them the bike was in parking they said that they have a photo of bike....

I asked them to show it but they where unable to do it as they where not present on the spot when the bike was taken.

I showed them all the papers, Insurance,PUC, License (Always there with me because of prior experiences ) with helmet and gloves.

Still he said 1000 rs for parking on foothapth

Suddenly i saw scratch mark on the tank I got pissed off....

I Said show me the pic And I will pay and also told them I have seen the drag marks in the area where i parked my vehicle.

He said I will file a case against you....

I said I want to meet you senior and went to the office.

There they told me that he out for some work..

I waited there with my bike for 30 mins as I was really pissed of because of the scratch and getting charged for no reason

Suddenly a jeep came there, and The Cop told me to leave.

I asked him why ??? HE said leave immediately.

I took the bike and went off dint pay a single Rupee....

Wow, all that in 3 sentences! Friend, please try to frame words into proper sentences with adequate use of punctuation marks, it will help everyone including you. And please refrain from sharing incidents of bribing in a positive light. Though you might have saved some money and consider it a good thing, it would only make the corrupt cops even more corrupt. As the famous saying goes, if you have done the crime, you should do the time. But if you were wronged by the cops, then you're welcome to share your experience as it would actually help us.

whoaa...Man you gonna have Moderators sticking behind you for this....Trust me they are not like cops seen in khakis and they wont take your bribe either.....All this and you think its worth posting??? I think both of you need counselling, the cop and you Mr, Please avoid posting such things, they are not act of bravery neither laughter but are serious content of you being banned from the forum.....Then keep counting how many times you tried getting back here on your bike!!!!
