    While the start was initiated by the British, Excellence to challenge with outstanding innovations have all been by RDSO..To day we have more innovations and improvements in Railways than what any other country can claim.

      Of Late there are many reports in the Papers about Problems faced by passengers in Duranto Express...
      Rodents dancing freely , nibbling passenger toes,Cockroaches crawling in plenty, and flying like dive bombers on to a plate of food, Non working Fans, and Lights, and no Water in the Toilets.......clear indications of Gross negligence and don't care attitude of the Maintenance Yard staff..

      Hope the same does not get extended to other trains....

        The GOLDEN ROCK (PONMALAI) Diesel Maintenance Workshop at TRICHY , TAMILNADU has now become the epicenter of innovative up gradation .....
        The Matheran-Neral Steam Locomotive had been facing extinction due to non availability of spares, maintenance issue, and importantly, the Embers from the smoke stack was causing pollution and also the danger of lighting up dry leaves....hence there was reluctance to continue using the steam Loco .
        The Golden Rock Diesel Loco Facility which is now the maintenance and Parking Shed for WDP4 Diesel Locomotives, undertook the job of converting the steam Loco to Diesel Loco, without any change in appearance. The Loco is meant for the Matheran-Neral train, and will now be more efficient, less polluting,and longer lasting...

            The all stainless steel LHB coach ....This is a first generation RCF made LHB Rajdhani coach. These compartments are seen only in the Mumbai Rajdhani and AK Rajdhani Express. The Destination boards are situated at a unique position. There is no place for attaching the destination boards at the top middle portion of the compartment. From 2005, RCF shifted to the regular design with top destination boards, as can be seen in Howrah Rajdhani.




            A reworked YDM4 still in service..The Sabarmati based YDM4 with Udaipur Express had developed a mechanical snag in it's run and the Staff are inspecting it...

                    At the time of Accident the Loco Pilot was talking on a cell phone and was over speeding into the curve...he was doing in excess of 120 kmph through a curve with 80 Kmph restriction.....Cell Phone and careless attitude costs many lives...
