Since you are a rider who pushes the RPM to RED LINE regularly, expect lesser brake , and engine life.Parts wear out fast when RPMs are mostly high.
Sintered brake pads will give better bite and hence stopping power, and going for non-OE brake pads or any critical part is asking for trouble..and if it is safety related(like brake pads) may even cost your life.So do not opt for non standard, non OE parts in critical areas without knowing about them..Brake pads made of Organic compound are notorious for Heat Fade, and soon as it becomes Wet in rain will have only Half of it's original friction....

Good Luck

Thank you psr sir for your response. I will surely look into it and make sure I don't buy any cheap parts that might cost my life.

Please do not go for cheap brake pads. Brakes are one of the most important part of your bike and safety. DO NOT compromise on them at any cost. Atleast get the stock OEM pads if not better.

On the first servicing itself I changed the oil to shell advanced ultra 4t 10w40. And I must say, what an amazing feel. The butter smooth engine and gear shifts just won my heart. But the only problem was when I would try to redline my bike, I was not satisfied with the performance then. Not that it was some issue, but then being a lover for redlining the RPM (the CBR made me the hooligan :P) I wanted more of it. Anyways, just did my second servicing a couple of days back. I changed the oil to Motul 7100 10w40. And WOWWWWW!!!!! I JUST LOVE IT. One thing that I experienced is if you want a smooth and calm ride, the shell advanced is best (Hands Down). But if you are a sucker for redlining, go for motul.

I totally agree with this. I have stocked up shell advance ultra for next oil change.
Till now i was using motul 7100 and yes it makes noticeable difference to aggression of bike. With motul inside it always feels much more eager to rev and reach redline

Well apart from this i have a small query for those who have performed earth wire mod which is a big discovery for us poor souls who are facing random shutoff issues at wrong time in traffic. Kudos to shv18

In recent days i am facing shutoff issues more often and i feel its due to flooding of engine. So i am keen in trying this mod
But i am little bit confused regarding how to access rr unit. I know it is located right behind left black panel but i just want to confirm how to take it off.
I dont want to apply much pressure which might break something.

If anyone could point me in right direction here, i ll be thankful

Hello RedWingRider. Firstly thank you for agreeing with my newly experiences with the oil.
Secondly, the earth wire mod is something which even I want to do but is currently not quite sure how to. But I have spoken to the guy in Honda SVC who services my bike for me and he has agreed to do the earthing mod for me. All I need to do is get the 10mm gauge wire of 60cm with two battery adapter/ terminals and get the soldering done on them quite strong as he suggested. And remaining he will do. The best I can do is try to make a video of this mod when he does this so it is more easy for everyone who wants to try this mod but not quite sure on some areas on how to. Kindly give me some days since I am currently caught up with some work.
Cheers.

Open allen maked with 1 & 2. Post this, remove the rear seat and remove 2 bolts maked as 3 & 4. Move the rear left pannel a bit to access allen no 5. Open the same. Post this you can move the black pannel enough to access RR unit.
If you are not comfortable doing this then please get it done by a mechanic. Should not take more than 15-20 mins if you know what you are doing.Click image for larger version

Thanks bro. Though i was aware of the method, i was unsure of how to access the RR unit.

Anyway my doubts have been clarified now.
I would suggest you get clips and lugs that are easily available in market like this one in photo

Thanks bro.
You cleared my doubt.
I was just unsure of allen 5 and didn't want to break anything . I do most of the work on my bike myself and this is just a simple task and you made it even easier.

Thanks again

Thank you. Yes I've already got these from the market. Now just waiting for the some time to perform the earthing mod. If you are doing it, please do tell me the difference you feel after the mod.
Cheers.

I bought a 2011 red honda cbr 250r after getting inspired by this post from @shv18.

The bike is an absolute delight. The engine is seamless but I have to change a lot cosmetically.
And the usual basic changes and inspection is to be done.

I am going to try the rimula treatment as the bike is 6 years old and I think itna to banta hi hai .
Ordered the 5 litre can of shell rimula r4 from amazon for this .

For now, there's no engine shut off problem in my bike, so, I am not in a rush to try the earth wire mod.

I previously had a 125 cc suzuki zeus and this bike is way more buttery smooth and the pickup is super.

I am a very heavy biker (5' 10", 125 kg) I will also be checking a heavy biker's compatibility with this sports tourer bike in coming future.

Thanks to this amazing informational post about cbr 250r started by @shv18 and enriched by many bikers such as @psr, @aargee and many more.

I hope to add any useful info that I get while riding this bike.

Thank you so much for this amazing post of Honda cbr 250r.

Cheers !!!!
