Request to all. Please close the issue. Lets give others a good output from this thread.

Can any body explain me the steps to correct the time on the LCD. I havn't got any papers / documents yet from the dealer, waiting for all the formalities of RTO & insurance etc to get complete. Because of holiday, everything got postponed to next week. But the rule says "Don't keep your bike with the dealer for long time, once it arrives". Brought it home the day it arrived. By thursday I will get all documents. Hence the request.

Neo: pm mohsin hes got the manual, or manan or saminder. I think its the same way one does on the karizma. You can fiddle around no harm in it.

Light colour temperature like 1500k.....10000k goes from red to yellow to white to blue as the number rises. Excuse me if you already know this, perhaps others who are not aware can benefit.

I use clear halogen approx 3000k(fog lights), osram coolblue approx 4000k(high beam) and HID 6000k(low beam) in my car. 6000k is considered white. Coolblue seems yellow in comparison.
The whiter it gets, the less effective it becomes under street light and rain. By the time it becomes blueish its performance gets worse under same condition even though the lumen or brightness intensity may be greater. However white lights performs very good in darker situation like highway or poorly lit street (without rain). I don't know the reason why. Hence I always keep my foglight in prime condition for rainy season .

My recommendation, go for nightbreaker. They may not look cool as coolblue. But they will perform better.

              • I prefer yellow light than white. White light is not good for winters and dusty nights.

                  1. Turn ON the Ignition.
                  2. Press and hold the RESET and SELECT key for more than 2 seconds..

                  Now set the time....

I chose coolblue because i liked the shade of the light more than that of Nightbreaker...
Nightbreaker's Bright mode gives more light than that of coolblue i felt..
But i had little preference for the shade of the light as well.. So Coolblue fit my choice perfectly..

I'll quote some of the MRPs.
                  Coolblue - Rs. 450 ( 900 per pair )
                  Nightbreaker - Rs.900
                  Visionplus - Rs. 550 i think...

Now here are a few mobile shots of the new lightbulbs..
Hope it does give you some idea about how it looks like...
The yellow alongside the whiteone looks crap...
I'll be changing that once i get philips or OSRAM parklight LEDs..

                    +100 on that...
Well said Mate.!! Ya i know about the temperature thing and the change of colour..
Now that gives everyone a perfect idea about it..

I went for coolblue because i liked its looks and i ride mainly on Highways and then little bit on pocket roads..
So far, i had no troubles with it...
And as i said before, Nightbreaker has got more light..
Everyone who needs the best lighting ( Using Halogens ) can go for The OSRAM Nighbreakers.. Philips Xtreme Power is also as good i heard..

Agreed . Maybe you can try LED if you can get them. They are easy on the battery as well.

In any case i'll be changing it only after 2 weeks when my bike gets in for its second service.. I Dont want the local mechanics to tamper with the fairing when they remove it for changing the lights..!!
