              • Can mist affect the engine..?

This afternoon, did a short dash to the nearby hills, where it was all covered up in thick mist. Bike was running nice and smooth, but when I stopped under a tree to take a pic, noticed that RPM is not coming down. Staying at a consistent 3K. Left it in neutral to see what happens, but nothing happened. It was like the choke was pulled in. Throttle response and acceleration was all fine. This behavior disappeared as soon as I descended.

                So,
Was it the mist that caused this..?
                If yes, why..?

                Awaiting expert opinion..

As you said nearby hills I assume there are climbs too. In such scenario you pull the throttle wide open, our carbs have spring tension which swaps it back to stationary. The reason why it was 3k RPM standstill W/O choke and accel is because you have pulled the throttle in most cases for accelerating to go uphill....Happens everytime, When you come down the spring tension is not much cz no one accelarates hard on down hill....so when you stopped again it was back to minimum as your stock RPM...

It has nothing got to do with mist, moisture, rains, snow or even desert to be precise.

The spring does show such fatigue when pulled more (rarely for such uphill roads which are also not tamed on daily basis)

I hope it solves your query buddy.....

                    I did suspect that, buddy..
As you assumed right, the entire ride was either uphill or down hill. But I was taking it so easy that I don't remember pulling the throttle wide open.
But to make sure nothing is stuck, locked or anything ( read - the spring) I pulled and released the throttle several times, but the problem remained.
Somehow, it slowly came back to normal. ( I was checking like after each kilometer or so. From 3K, it came to 2.5, 2, 1.8 and 1.5 )

As of now, guess it was a stuck spring..

Its ok. When you get all these info in there parent company websites itself then why rely on any other website. And you have mixed up PS and BHP values. Except RTRs every other value is PS. Oops i made a mistake too its 14.4PS not BHP.

excluding r15 as it go more Bhp just for 150cc its priced high....how come cbz x is costlier than pulsar and rtr's when it got low bhp than the others....
