As for the vibration its because of the handle bar weights. If you had used the handle bar weights from ZMR or apache on the stock handlebars then also vibrations would have reduced.

Yes this bike redlines on 15T also. Hunk is already short geared than extreme and so it will easily redline.

I have touched 124 kph on extreme on 15T sprocket.

I recommend 0.06 mm and 0.10 mm to compensate for the wear on the bearings of the rocker arm.

Because at 0.08 and 0.12 mm rockers will cause ringing sound.
The bearing are worn out, then do we have to change the whole rocker arm or only the bearings.

Anyway recently i tried to tune my carb using your carb tuning method using RPM meter. RPM rise up to 3800 RPM and at one point it reduced and when i checked it was 8 360degree full turn :O . so i tuned it back to stock (1.8 turn). Am i missing something? because i have done it previously and did it successfully by watching my speedo rpm.

Now cant even put that aldilite you said as one bush is in hole that too half damaged & another tightened with head screw). Reached khopoli with riding 40- kmph. Luckyly found one HERO garage. That guy changed gasket(Damage: 150 Rs labour +70 Rs Gasket). Went for spin, again its leaking. Then he applied sillicon based packing tube on gasket as well as on head screw(Another 30 Rs). Now area near head dont even have a single oil drop. Also it dnt looked fugly like it was looking before(Being sillicon based gel looks transperent, not like white coloured packing which mech put when head job was done). Asked him, why this bike make so mcuh tappet noise & unicorn dont, he said unicorn have high compression & Xtreme have low compression n i was like WTF? Dint bothered to ask anything there after. Got 44-45 kmpl (Ripped to 80-90-100-115, 65+ all the time).
Your comments are welcome..
Good mileage. But get the cam carrier changed as soon as possible.

The mechanic has gone bonkers. Extreme runs more compression that unicorn. The tappet noise is because of high lift and aggressive cam.

No need of changing rocker arm as it will need change if fully worn out.

You are missing how to tune. Needs expert hand.

Friends,
Lately I was experiencing lean mix with cold start problems. Later tried the carb tune method published.
Initially rpm set to 3000rpm and closed the Fuel screw to the fullest. Still engine did not stop.
Later turned to 1.6 turns slowly. RPM increased to 3500rpm. But fluctuating around 200-300rpm.
Later turned till 3.5 turns and it was constant to 3000rpm.
Then settled the idle to 1200rpm. This was done in the morning.
During this time, I hear tick-tick sound coming from the engine. Is this tappet sound or valves? not sure.

Now, during traffic conditions I see the pickup has increased considerably. Pretty good driveability with smooth note of exhaust.
But the sound from the engine is harsh below 3000rpms. Post 3500rpm engine was good.
Even though idling was set to 1200rpm, after running through traffic its now at 1500rpm.
Meaning during ilde, i can feel mild vibration in the handler bar.

Mileage is at 43kmpl with BP/Shell/HP petrols. No change.

Bro why is it so? Will there be any problem if i keep riding with current set up? Will there be any harm if i put bigger brass bush (or steel bush as someone aready did that in his extreme. Dint remember the name. of that guy) in cam carrier as you said newer cam carrier will also have same problem after few opening/closing cycle. Or else i need to put some 1000 bucks (750 for new cam carrier & labour charge). Bike is running fine as if now. No problems.

Guys...need suggestion:

my hunk has done 41000Kms .now when i do accelerate the bike, i could feel the torque and bike attains speed without any issue.
but when i release the throttle say at 60kmph, i could never feel the back torque ( engine braking), and the bike tends to slow down at very slow rate, it just keep on going. Previously whenever i release the throttle, the back torque would be very high and would give tremendous engine braking.

is this due to the clutch plate wear or any other issue i need to look at. i haven't change the clutch plate yet and its running on stock one.
i checked the rpm rise against the speed and there is no noticeable delay is claiming speed.
my doubt is even if clutch plate wear is the reason, then how am i getting good acceleration torque and not the back torque (engine braking).?

anyone had this same experience before ?

Request someone to respond. I am lately getting overheating issue when driving below 4000rpm. I get some kind of smell of burnt gas similar to LPG.
Gear changes are smooth.

The reason for me to say for new carrier is that to avoid any future trouble in mid of road trip. My funda is that to keep bike always fit so that even in the mid of night i have to run 200 kms, i do not have to worry.

I am running on brass bush from lots of days. No problem. The person who did it couldn't do it properly.

Its because of the compression getting low. With time the compression gets low as a result the back torque gets low. Reason may be because of leaking valves or wear in valves.

You are running rich. The lpg like smell you are getting because of un burnt fuel in exhaust.

In tuning where you get the highest rpm matters. No need of opening more. As after highest rpm if you continue opening mixture screw then rpm remains constant. It causes error. Instead just stop where rpm is highest. Do not turn further.

Low on cash, no leak problems as if now, also this part is not available in ASC (AHER Auto, biggest Showroom & Service center in my area) so will replace it later.
How much one can ride on reserve up to last drop of petrol? As per my experience its 80 to 83 kms.

Carb slide piston is bruised, resulting the engine to struggle to build up rpms easily. Power has decreased a lot. Any suggestions might help.
Can i get that diaphragm assembly as a spare !

Its available as spare i suppose. Question is how did it even get bruised ? I have seen cbz/hunk with horrendous abuse but never a bruised or scratched slide. Check your carb thoroughly as something caused it to wear.

.
thanks bro. what is the solution for this.? is it possible to change the valve.? and one more thing, is this the reason for the slow drop in rpm when i rev it in neutral ? the needle climbs fast but comes back slowly especially from 3k to 1k it is very slow.

i am not sure how am i going to explain this to ASC..

after reserve i have gone upto 120km, and still there was some amount of petrol....i think reserve capacity is around 2.5l.

I guess our tank capacity is 12.1 litre with 1.5 usable reserve. Means 10.6 litres+1.5 reserve. This is for extreme. So once with bike on reserve (1.5 litre) i had dried my tank completely & trip read 82-85 kms means 54.66 kmpl where as reserve to reserve average was someething 43 kmpl before hitting reserve. Something is wrong. sibun throw some light.

Exactly same observation. Not sure how much is real reserve capacity. Overall avg is around 45kmpl.
