Now, why am I not surprised for your low lighting??? (please also get your beam adjusted - better do it ur self)

HH is using both Philips & Halonix may be based on what stock they get.

Try to get a Philips bulb from Honda Spares (Rs 195) and replace the halonix. Where ever I saw the halonix the lighting was not good.

exide is also good. Go for maintenance free battery. It maybe just few hundred rs extra.

You can go for Amaron 9A Battery as they do not have 7A. It comes with a 60month's warrenty and its a gelcell battery. Its too good.I am using it for few months and its really good one. But while installing, you may have to do slight modifications. Please check the size of the battery and think for a while if it can be fitted, then go for it.
In my case, the clump, which holds the battery, had to bent slightly to fit. But the side panel did not fit properly. However I managed to fit it in its place properly.

                    • Shell- Fully synthetic oil

                      Hi Guys,

I own a CBZ X, which is two and half years old. The bike has done 20,000 kms.

I was looking for an oil change this week. I went to the Castrol Bike Zone near by house, but they had Castrol Active and Castrol Power 1 both in 20W40. I didn't want to mess around with the oil specification, and so went to the Shell oil pump looking for a 10W30 mineral oil. And what I found there was:
                      Shell Advance Ultra
                      10W40
                      Fully Synthetic Oil.

The oil was 745 rupees for a litre. I thought for a while, and then decided to buy the oil because:
My bike has done 20,000 kms, so it's kinda getting old.
I'm in Chennai, and will need to travel 25 kms in blistering Chennai heat. So, the fully synthetic oil would be useful here.

                      Changes observed:
The oil was changed on Friday. On Sunday, I could notice that the bike had become butter smooth.
The vibes in my bikes which come at 55-65 kmph have reduced considerably.

A good investment in my opinion.

Nice to see a 10w30 fully Synthetic oil.

BTW..I am using Gulf 10w30 on my Xtreme. It has been performing very well. Way better than some highly rated oil. And would rate best engine oil used on my bikes till now. And its cheaper than HH used engine oil, just at Rs 170/-, good VFM.

Engine runs lots smoother, considerable decrease in engine heat, Gear shift has improved (though its butter smooth earlier too )

My first choice would be Gulf 10w30 for Xtreme, Hunk, ZMA etc.

                          4.5/5 for Gulf 10w30.

                          • hey sorry to go off track with the oil discussions here but jus wanted to kno from the owners-- does the hunk have a gearbox issue( hard or clunky gearbox or missing neutrals)???????????
if there's any other issue then pls specify.
asking as i am plannin to buy a bike soon and hav posted in the What Bike forum but i didn't get any great comments from the owners, PLS HELP!!!
                            The purpose of biking -
100cc- to get from point A to point B
                            125cc- to get there fast
150cc- to have some fun while getting there
200+cc- to start from point A and forget when point B passed by

It's not the ride but the rider that matters!

                              Hi,

I have a panther black hunk with come graphics. It has been little more than 8 months and i have 10000 km on the odo.

About the gear problem. I have a faced it a few times but overall its a awesome bike. What happends it rarely when u go to first gear from neutral it stays in neutral but works fine in the second try.

Mileage for me is around 55kmpl. Quite happy with the bike. Planning to change to tube less tyres and also may get the headlights changed to LED if possible. Need to know more about it.
